Re: Winbox help - make new entry VS overwrite?

one thing you can do is to change default winbox port 8291 to something different in one of the routers
in that way you can add two routers with the same IP addreses

i tried this and it worked

Re: Regular Wireless Drops

i had the same problem but only with ios devices
tried allmost everything what i could find but in the end what helped for me was - installed 6.44.6 long term
not sure why but that fixed the problem and now reassociating happens once every few days

Re: Remove DNS IP from DHCP lease for one PC

i would try to do something like this:
- create different DHCP server with no DNS
- create static lease for that pc and asign that DHCP witch does not have DNS to that lease

have not tested this, but in theory it could work

Re: Duplicating device backup led to non-working IPSec

Hi,
correct backup if you wan't to use it on another device should be used using - export not backup.
you should never put one device backup to another device

Re: v6.45.2 [stable] is released!

Hello, I got a small 16gb flash drive for this. Format it as ext3 amd mount it. I keep packages, logs and backups on it. Be sure to copy them over to your PC from time to time as flash drives dont last very long. On another note, can you check if your 5GHz AC wifi gets stuck at detecting radar if i...

Re: Cloning device using backup and restore

why do you want to do backup restore from one mikrotik to another?
if you need it to have the same config then use export from old and import that in new one.
