Re: MacOS Catalina, iOS, Catalyst, SwiftUI & Wine

You already have native Web interface. What's wrong with it? Many macOS native app will not be much different, just no browser.

colleagues, disconnect Discovery on RB4011 and on neighboring Discovery devices. And check out the work of 5ghz. There is a suspicion that because of this the storm is on L2, and 5ghz has problems. The feeling is that all the problems are due to Realtek RTL8367.

5GHz is falling due to the fact that the client starts to reconnect frequently.
So why it fails when there's no clients at all? After a long period of idle?

My observations show that rts/cts disabling may help. Still investigating.

I found a way to make at least this piece of shit work. We do the following: in the ACL for 5ghz, we write the rule limiting connection -120 ..-65 (or -67). 5GHz is falling due to the fact that the client starts to reconnect frequently. Interesting find, good work.
I did another experiment with ipv6, turned off the access list in wifi and checked the reconnection from RB4011 to RB962 and back. While working stably. Miracles and only.

PS
RB4011 wlan1 fell again after 10 minutes. :(

Re: Help Hacker sending deauth packet

Either wait for Mikrotik to do 802.11w (doubtful), or lift the second point and configure Capsman for roaming. And translate the network name of the SSID to Unicode - utf8.

The fixes are not released yet. They will be only in 6.44
Hello Normis. Good, we'll still waiting.
And,
when the device RB4011 is connected to the CAPsMAN, the wrong mac address is shown.

Re: WAP ac 5GHz issues with iPhone XS

Just tested a new iPhone XS Max ... had issues with WiFi on the hAP AC and 6.42.11. Was necessary to set Band to 5Ghz-only-N. CAPSMAN RB3011, client RB4011 and RB962. When switching iphone XS Max or new iPad from RB962 in roaming to RB4011, the Wifi of 5 GHz is cut down on RB4011 RB4011 5GHz is dis...

Re: WAP ac 5GHz issues with iPhone XS

Apple uses a new chip, so presumably, a new driver too. This new driver did not follow RFC recommendation in one fragmenting method.
Then why did it work in CAPSMAN? Logically, the iphone xs max was not supposed to work in any mode.

Re: WAP ac 5GHz issues with iPhone XS

One idea in case this really happens just without CAPsMAN: It sets a few defaults (e.g. WMM) that otherwise have to be set manually. Maybe it's related to that? Just a wild guess though...
floeff, No, it does not work, I checked already.

Re: WAP ac 5GHz issues with iPhone XS

I received this correspondence from Mikrotik overnight US time. I would say this shows they admit there is an issue; however, their suggestions don’t work for us. I responded the using CAPsMan, or just turning off ac were better workaround while they fix the problem. The manufacturer had to conduct...

Re: WAP ac 5GHz issues with iPhone XS

Is it CAPsMAN with local or remote forwarding? Does changing it change the picture?
datapatch installed in "Local Forwarding" and "Client to Client Forwarding".
i.e. customer management is given to Access Point.

Confirmed with iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS, and iPad Pro 2018. Without CAPsMAN, 5GHz AC communication is unusable. Always used latest Testing firmware hoping for a fix. Hello lelmus, great! Re: WAP ac 5GHz issues with iPhone XS

Will try the disabling of the AC network as suggested in this thread, thanks for the suggestion.
RB3011 CAPsMAN -> RB962 AC dual stack ipv6 / ipv4. Already day everything works stably. If the same run without CAPsMAN, iPhone XS Max does not work in AC mode.

yes, the problem is not solved on 6.43.8 5Ghz, dual stack ipv4/ipv6, it works very slowly, it even slows down the MacBook Pro 15 2017.

Re: WAP ac 5GHz issues with iPhone XS

Hm interesting. Good afternoon Normis. managed to simulate the following. RB3011 IPv4 / IPv6 (SLAAC) -> RB962 2Ghz / 5Ghz (Acces Point) -> iPhone Xs Max iPhone Xs Max works fine on 2Ghz with dual stack. iPhone Xs Max does not work on 5Ghz with dual stack in AC mode. If I turn off IPv6 support on RB...
