CCR1009-10G-4S?

I want something like this. No wait, this is exactly what I want. *4x SFP slots, straight router interfaces *Two 5-port GbE copper switch groups *Dual DC inputs, 20-60 VDC *Wall or rack mountable Not sure if fanless would be possible. And I don't need the LCD touchscreen. I need temperature toleranc...

Re: RB1100

4.11 fixed nothing for me. Forced ethers 11-13 to 100FDX and get Rx errors due to duplex mismatch. Even though it says it's hard set to the speed and duplex, those three ports still auto-neg, always. Hardware, drivers or something is broken. A $400 router sitting on the shelf for four months.

Re: RB-1100 Port problems, and performance problems

No, not a .backup file here. I exported the config from my old router, edited for the new hardware (removed ALL ethernet settings), and it imported IPs, routing, firewall, queues, etc. without issue. 5.0b4 or 4.10, doesn't make a difference. Set my laptop to 100 full, Rx errors on every port of the ...

Re: RB-1100 Port problems, and performance problems

I was asked by kirshteins through the ticket I have open with MT support to back the CPU speed down from 1333 to 800 and the memory speed down from 533 to 400 and see if this problem still exists and send a supout. Did all that. Even backed both the CPU and memory clock down to 333MHz, no difference...

Re: RB-1100 Port problems, and performance problems

There definitely are big issues with the RB800/1100 ethernet. I've had an 1100 for almost a month now and cannot use it because of these problems. My edge router is an old 1GHz Mini-ITX box with dual on-board NICs and a RB44. We're pushing peaks of 72x12Mbps on our 100Mb F/D fiber-ethernet circuit. ...

Re: RB1100

Oh yeah, I forgot about this place. Anyway... Same here, 4.10/2.27 and ether11-13 issues. Ticket#2010061066000061 with MT support, waiting since 6/9/10. I can understand the wait since this now looks like a problem not specific to the unit I have. I wonder if this is auto-MDI/X related? I think I h...

Re: FCC Releases 3650MHz [SOLVED]

Notice in the XR3 spec sheet, there are three separate versions of the card. The one on Microcom's site is the XR3-105 (for 3.5 WiMAX). The XR3-107 is needed for 3.65-3.7 operation. I'm guessing the XR3-107 is a version with the contention mechanism and can be used on both the lower and upper 25Mhz....

GPS Sync

I think the only reason people are looking for GPS sync with MT is so that they do not have to buy expensive Motorola equipment. You do have to realize that even if they did implement GPS sync, it most likely wouldn't be compatible with Motorola or any other GPS sync'd product. So what's the point? ...

Why does it work this way? It's not a PPP connection, only a 30 bit subnet. Or is that just how it works in the Linux kernel?

Cyclades config

We have spent much $$$ on a setup for a T1 using a Cyclades-PC300/TE card.. they're not cheap! However it shows no signs of working at this point. I have contacted our provider and they said to use B8ZS/ESF. The line-protocol is Cisco-HDLC. Have it set for external clock. Line build out is 7.5db. Rx...

Makes sense. Just thought I'd throw it up here and see what happens. I am perfectly fine with CLI but GUI is so much better when using Torch. Well, that one router that keeps giving me errors will just have to use CLI, I guess.

Thanks

DNS

It would be nice if MT included a "simple" DNS server like dnsmasq (without the DHCP). Yes, I know, the RouterOS is not a server, it performs tasks. I would consider DNS a task. It already has RADIUS, which is another task. I think a Hotspot should be secure. I would like to setup a Hotspot and disa...

Simple Queues - v2.8.8

I would like to be able to sort the Queues. Its very hard to try and look though more than 450 queues.

BTW.. MikroTik is sweet... no crashes.. 296 days uptime.
