Re: PCQ Queues Messing Up SXT LTE Router

I would like to add that CPU is almost always below 30% and the PCQ Queues has a packet drop rate between 2.5% and 10%, where the higher drop rates seem to be correlated with the problems.

PCQ Queues Messing Up SXT LTE Router

Hello everyone, I am helping an NGO in India at the moment, where I set up an SXT LTE (RBSXTR) to get Internet in a remote area. For the last few weeks my PCQ Queues are really messing up my router. If the PCQ is enabled and any kind of load is applied - like even if there is only one User connected...

Re: Setting TTL for Outgoing Traffic [SOLVED]

@xaocass
Open a terminal window in webfig and then copy paste:
/ip firewall mangle add action=change-ttl chain=postrouting new-ttl=set:64 out-interface=ether1 passthrough=no
assuming outgoing traffic passes through ether1 to your ISP. If not, change ether1 above to the correct interface.

Script to disable Wlan when no user are logged on

Hello, I am well on my way to make our MikroTiks environmentally friendly. I have reduced their power output, assigned the mode button to switch wlan on or off, and now I would like the router to disable wlan when all users have disconnected from wlan. But I haven't figured out this last part yet. D...

Re: SXT LTE speed after 6.43.8 update

Have you checked out the new "SXT 4G Kit" MikroTik product?

https://mikrotik.com/product/sxt_4g_kit

It covers the following bands: 3, 7, 20, 31, 41n, 42 and 43, so basically the new spectrum is 41n, 42, and 43, which should all be less crowded frequencies operating mainly with LTE-TDD.

Remote management of SXT LTE router possible through MikroTik's IP cloud?

Hello everyone, is there a way to log in to an SXT LTE router via MikroTik's IP cloud from an unrelated network? The unit is obviously connected directly to the mobile provider's network, no passthrough. /ip cloud> pr ddns-enabled: yes ddns-update-interval: none update-time: yes public-address: 47.X...

Re: How to shut down Router before Power Off?

It is a bit inconvenient to do it the "correct" way.

You must log onto the router and click on "System > Shutdown".

Probably one of the least known commands even for RouterOS pros. :D

Re: Setting TTL for Outgoing Traffic [SOLVED]

Ok, thanks for your help!

I am satisfied now, because packet sniffer showed me that all outgoing packets in my test run are TTL=64.

That's what I wanted to achieve.

Thanks for everybody's assistance, and of course especially for @sebastia who really excelled! :)

Yes, I also thought they should be local, but I filtered for outgoing tx packets from lte1 (direction=tx interface=lte1). Is outgoing from wan a local packet, because wan sends it back into the router?

Re: Setting TTL for Outgoing Traffic [SOLVED]

I used packet sniffer and I think I have found the culprit: ARP protocol packets!
/tool sniffer packet print detail

Re: show how much traffic for every ip in every day

You need to write a "System > Script > +" named "Reset" with the line: /ip firewall filter reset-counters-all OR /ip firewall filter reset-counters in it. Then do a "System > Scheduler > +" name it "ResetCounters", on-event put "Reset", your desired daily start-time, and VERY IMPORTANT change Interv...

Aahhh yes of course, totally overlooked that point! Thanks so much!!!! :)

OK, today everyone seems to be behaving!

I will know for sure in a week or two, since most of the time my setup worked, just sometimes somebody peaked with 2 or more GB per day.

Re: Limiting per User Traffic with PCQ not working reliably on SXT LTE kit [SOLVED]

There is one big question remaining: PCQ types "PCQ_download" and "PCQ_upload" are completely identical, only the names of the queues are different. Thus it should not matter which one of the queues are given in the Simple Queue "queue=" field - and as far as I can tell, that's the ONLY thing we cha...

When I look at the stats going through the simple queue and the one on the mangle rule, I see quite a big discrepancy: /que s p stats Flags: X - disabled, I - invalid, D - dynamic 0 name="PCQ-Queue" target=192.168.86.0/24 rate=26.6kbps/194.6kbps total-rate=0bps packet-rate=34/32 total-packet-rate=0 ...

Re: Limiting per User Traffic with PCQ not working reliably on SXT LTE kit [SOLVED]

Hmm, that's strange, it won't take pcq-total-limit=0 and when I leave out that line completely, then ROS puts in the numer of 2000 by itself. #confused

Edit: OK, our posts crossed - your previous post explains it.

Re: Configuring the SXT LTE (RBSXTR&R11e-LTE)

You should be able to power the SXT LTE up with an ethernet cable plugged into ether1 connected to the enclosed adapter where you insert the power supply, then connect it to your PC. You don't really need the Hap ac², though it is a great router, unless you want to do something fancy, since the SXT ...
