Re: HOT S-RJ10

What temperature is it? A quick google shows a range of SFP+ devices with a maximum of 85° I have three 4 devices all with Cisco 10Gb SFP+ modules CRS310-8G+2S+ : 38° CRS328-24P-4S+ : 46°, 43° and 44° RB5009UG+S+ : 43° CRS326-24G-2S+ : 44° Chances are yours is fine! On the 5009 (mounted in a rack, ...

HOT S-RJ10

Hi, I have a 5009 with eth1 used at 2,5Gbps as WAN (FO) and I bought some S-RJ10 to connect it to a LASN Switch 24 10G ports. The issue is quite common (as I understood later): the transceiver goes so hot ! Is there a solution (no, I cannot add fan or extra heatsink)? I saw other compatible transcei...

Re: Multiple DHCP pools on same interface filtered by mac address

Do the Dahua devices have a unique Class-ID in DHCP requests? If so, you could use Vendor Classes - https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/DHCP_Server#Vendor_Classes Thanks a lot, me stupid, I didn't see it in the manual.. Well, it seems to check the Class-ID (and shows how to obtain it) but I di...

Re: Multiple DHCP pools on same interface filtered by mac address

you could use Vendor Classes - https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/DHCP_Server#Vendor_Classes Answering questions when you don't understand why something is being asked will often lead to suboptimal answers. The question, as asked seems to imply that the user wants to separate the users into d...

Re: Multiple DHCP pools on same interface filtered by mac address

You are just reiterating what was in the original post, without the reason why you think your solution is a good solution.

Why do you want everything to be in the same subnet?
For me the point are the possible solutions, not my reasons.

thanks

Re: Multiple DHCP pools on same interface filtered by mac address

OK, I apologise for where I was not clear. I have a private /22 subnet and I want the DHCP server to assign ip according to the mac address of the client that shows up. The subnet is: 192.168.8.0/22, where I'm going to use the .8.X as videosurveillance lan, .10.X as network (routers, wifi APs, switc...

Multiple DHCP pools on same interface filtered by mac address

Hi, i have a /22 private network and I want to run one DHCP server able to chose the correct pool for each lease depending on the mac address of the devices in lan. I mean, e.g. : 192.168.8.0/22 where I'm going to use the .8 as videosurveillance lan, .10 as network (router, wifi APs, switches..) .11...

Re: Winbox for M1 [SOLVED]

Is time to you to use some serious PC instead of one Apple device.
sorry but this is a *really* stupid answer.

I hope this is some kind of joke, however inappropriate.

How many clients on CAP XL AC?

The question is simple.. I need to cover areas with a lot of people.. conference hall, restaurant, swimming pool.. I mean, hundreds. A single CAP XL AC, how many clients is able to carry? I know it's even a matter of throughput so I say I could give 10Mb/1Mb limits via captive to each connected clie...

Re: Hot to handle VOIP on multiple WANs/backup

yes, it seems as some of the traffic would maintain the backup path once swapped for the main connection failure. The backup is flawless because there is "no choice".. the sessions are dead for the down of the WAN1, but when WAN1 comes up again you don't have a down of the WAN2 so all that...

Hot to handle VOIP on multiple WANs/backup

Hi, we give to our standard customer two internet connections managed by a 4011 and often we have a 3CX PBX cloud service with some phones inside the lan. VOIP routing is quite simply demanded to distances (connections to SIP server). When the distance 10 route fails (internet on WAN1 goes down) all...

LTE auto-APN

Hi, I need to provide SXTLTE pre-configured and often I don't know which operator will work best.. the guys that will have to manage the antenna are not skilled on mikrotik so I would like to provide a black box able to select the correct APN for each provider. I can configure TIM/VODAFONE/H3G-WIND/...
