Re: v7.1beta6 [development] is released!

On my device, a kernel panic occurs on reboot that appears to be related to this issue. If I have no bridges, the kernel panic does not occur. If I have at least one bridge, I get this kernel panic each time I try to reboot: [admin@Michael-RB4011] > Rebooting... [ 573.721183] Internal error: Oops: ...

Re: v7.1beta6 [development] is released!

I can confirm that my RB3011's kernel panic on downgrade/upgrade and on reboot after upgrading to 7.1beta6 was resolved by doing a netinstall back to 6.48.2 and restore of backup config taken prior to 7.1beta6 upgrade. I think i'll hold off for a few more versions before trying again.

Re: v7.1beta6 [development] is released!

Side note, so we all agree that there are devices out there (ex.: Chateau), on shelves, required to be run on a nightly build. Is that what we're saying here. And the manufacturer is posting memes about it. Okay.. Agree, I find it hard to believe that the RBD53G-5HacD2HnD-TC&EG12-EA was release...

Re: v7.1beta6 [development] is released!

Release notes end with: other minor fixes and improvements; Is there an elaboration on what those fixes are? Is one of those fixes OpenVPN Server in UDP mode? On 7.1b5 I noticed OpenVPN in UDP mode would randomly stop moving packets after an hour or two despite everything looking like it was connect...

Re: v6.48 [stable] is released!

Also agree, it poor form to have such a buggy release in the stable release tree, it should be either pulled from the repository or a patched version released. For those of us that are familiar with downgrading its a quick but inconvenient step and a few minutes of downtime while doing it. There has...

hAPac2 USER LED (rear)

Hi All, I have searched for this information but cant seem to find any answer in the forums. The hAPac2 has front LED's that are about as useful as a glow worm in a car headlight at night, I am wanting to configure the USR led to behave the same as the ETHER1 led does on the front of the unit so at ...

Re: LLDP

+1 for LLDP-MED support to be added to RouterOS, even if its an optional module - would be very handy.

Re: UKNOF 43 CVE

The fact that a bug thats now a year old, a critical bug no less, is being taken so casually by Mikrotik has me concerned with my investment in the products, I like many others here will be looking at alternative platforms should it not be fixed within the next few days, turning off IPv6 is not a mi...

Re: RouterOS v7.0 beta1 - when?

I too second the faster and more secure BGP updates as well as better handling of multi core devices with respect to routing and filter rules. Since 7.0 has become the Duke Nukem Forever of the RouterOS world maybe skip straight to RouterOS X (10) so the stigma of the Neverending release date can be...
