Re: WAP 60G 360 Config and Operation

You can use the "area" value at the AP side and then match that area using the connect-list "area-prefix" value on the Station Side... This way you actually select to what Access Point each client will connect to... I don't think that functionality is available on the 60 GHz products. As for using ...

Re: wAP 60G experience

I’ve always had problems with these radios when they're too close. LHGs at that distance is probably overkill; try using wAPs or SXTs. I really wish MikroTik would bring back tx-power control to address this issue. good morning Haber if someone can help me .. I have a Wap60 like Ap, where we only ha...

wAP 60Gx3 AP sector info

Does anyone know the spatial layout and beamwidth/height of the sectors on the wAP 60Gx3 AP? tx-sector-info is blank

Re: Point-to-Multipoint with wAP 60G [SOLVED]

I would use SXTsq Lite60 on the endpoints, they have a little more gain so you have more headroom.
Those are only 100 Mbps, though.

Re: 60Ghz wAP 180 licensing

You can use anything license level 3 or above; 60g wAPs, LHGs, and SXTs

Support told me the "calibrated vertical plane is at 30 degrees"

Re: Performance Microtik Wireless Dish

Well I'm out of ideas. Try a different channel? The 23% packet error rate isn't great. Still makes me think the signal's too hot.

Are both sides’ Ethernet ports negotiating at 1 Gbps?

Re: Performance Microtik Wireless Dish

What about UDP?
Is that with the small Wireless Wires or the dishes?
This test is worse than ever. The fact that it never gets above 100 Mbps is concerning; are the cables on both ends OK?

Re: Performance Microtik Wireless Dish

That should be great. Something is interrupting the flows, but it's really hard to tell what. Mikrotik might have a better answer for you, but all I can think of is the signal is too hot at that distance. Of course, we have no way of turning down the power. If you can, try a pair of the original Wir...

Re: Performance Microtik Wireless Dish

Your client (Mac-Mini-i7) seems to be limited in the number of packets it can generate. You should be seeing closer to 940 Mbps on the client output. Try `./iperf3 -c 192.168.4.121 -P4` for the TCP test. TCP will ramp up and use as much bandwidth as possible during the test, so you don't have to spe...

Re: Performance Microtik Wireless Dish

-P with UDP isn’t needed, and will just create n number of streams at the specified bandwidth. Try ‘-b 1G’ and don’t use ‘-fm’ as I believe it outputs as mebibits despite the “Mbps” designation.

Re: Performance Microtik Wireless Dish

71.2 meters is really close for these dishes. Unfortunately there’s no more tx-power control so a pair of the original Wireless Wires is a better choice.

Question for Mikrotik: can we get tx-power control back?

Re: W60G tx-power setting gone in latest firmware

Being able to turn down tx-power is also important for preventing self-interference. Would be nice to see this option return.
