How to configure two APs in different Wireless Channels?

I have two RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD-US at home managed with CAPsMAN by a hEX router. I want each AP to use different channels. I've tried creating 4 different configurations (2 for 2.4GHz and 2 for 5GHz) and configured provisioning rules for each Radio MAC in order to set different channels for each AP, but...

Re: Backup to External FTP Useful script

Hi folks! I'm trying to use the script posted a couple of years ago, but it seems that the command SET changed its syntaxis.

I'm trying to update de whole script to make it run on newer RouterOS version, but if anyone has done it yet, please post it.

Thanks

Re: Configuring a Single SSID WLAN with Two wAP AC (RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD-US) and one hEX (RB750Gr3)

I finally took the time to read and watch some tutorials about CAPsMAN and I was able to configure the router and the APs, and everything is running smoothly.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Winbox disconnects after few seconds

I have reset the wAP AC configuration and with the default configuration (Router Mode and IP 192.168.88.1) I can connect with Winbox or Webfig and use the Quick Set tab without being disconnected. After changing the AP to bridge mode and configuring its IP to 172.16.1.2 (my router has 172.16.1.1) I ...

Re: Winbox disconnects after few seconds

Hello Are you connecting using an IP address or a mac address? If it's the MAC, yes you may loose connectivity often. Use a IP as soon as possible. Regards Sent from my cell phone. Sorry for the errors. Alain, thanks for your answer, I've tried both ways and the same happens. Something that is also...

Re: Configuring a Single SSID WLAN with Two wAP AC (RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD-US) and one hEX (RB750Gr3)

Thanks for both replies!
One additional question, I've read that a WDS mode has to be enabled in the routers and that both routers must be bridged into a single Wireless interface. Is that right?

Thanks again.

Configuring a Single SSID WLAN with Two wAP AC (RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD-US) and one hEX (RB750Gr3)

Hi folks, I've just bought one hEX (RB750Gr3) and two wAP AC (RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD-US) and I want to configure a single SSID Wireless network with seamless roaming between both APs and using the hEX as the controller for the APs. If anyone has a guide or can link me to any paper with information on how ...

Winbox disconnects after few seconds

Hi folks, I've seen a couple of post related to this issue and I'm one of it's victims too. I've justo bought one hEX (RB750Gr3) and two wAP AC (RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD-US). I have the same problem with both the router and the AP but with different behaviors. With the router I can overcome the problem by c...

Re: Home config with wifi roaming

I have deployed this same configuration successfully in several different environments. Using cAPsMAN works great, and if your radio coverage is optimized you can hand off from AP to AP with only a missed ping or two. All APs broadcast the same SSID. There is no need to force the traffic to use the...
