Re: Performance Microtik Wireless Dish

The monitor command only shows you 2 out 4 possible angles, the aiming angles; left-right and up-down. These can be adjusted with the mounting brackets. While mounting you should also account for the pole being perfectly vertical and thus the antenna itself should be vertical. Else your polarization...

Re: Performance Microtik Wireless Dish

Thanks for the clear photos. Since your AP is aiming away from the wall and the STA (station) is aiming up, there shouldn't be a problem with the fresnel zone in this setup IMO. (since the fresnel for 60ghz is really narrow, especially for this distance) But, I can't help but seeing that at least th...

Re: Align LHG 60ad - 60ghz

Hi,
Bumping this thread. Are these obvious / dumb questions or doesn't anyone know the answers? I'm really curious to what these stats exactly mean. Thanks!

Re: Performance Microtik Wireless Dish

How is your LOS? I tested the dishes with 200 meters on the street, good LOS. Point was I only used 1 meter high poles and couldnt get the throughput right. The links even went down sometimes. So, I just didnt account for the fresnel enough (the street was too close obviously). I placed the same dis...

Re: LHG 60G experience

... It ran solid that way for about 24 hours and then once again, for no apparent reason, the TX-Sector suddenly shifted causing the signal to drop to 50 and the RSSI to jump to -70. But, even with the poor RSSI, the MCS stayed at 8 (PHY 2.3). I let it run that way for a couple of hours and during ...

Align LHG 60ad - 60ghz

Hi, I'm wondering what are best practices to align the LHG 60ad. I have the solidmount to finetune, that works great! Now, I'm trying to figure out what data I should use when aligning. I'm always running /interface w60g monitor 0 in the winbox console to monitor. I'd like to know how to read this o...

Re: Co-locate LHG 60ad on same mount

So, I've relocated both antennas on both sides. They are now about 10 meters apart. The signals do cross each other but there is no other way, as you can see in the image. There are trees which are not blocking the LOS, but only in this configuration as you can see. Both antennas are now at the same...

Re: Co-locate LHG 60ad on same mount

No not really, that is why I did not mention that in my first reply. I would say it is more likely that the receiver is overloaded by the local transmission from the other link. When it works fine when the other link is off, you know that is why it is. If it remains bad, you can look more towards r...

Re: Co-locate LHG 60ad on same mount

Which one works perfect the higher mounted one? Yes, the higher mounted one works fine. It is possible that the lower one is too close to the roof, especially when it is not on the edge (can't see that on the photo). You need to keep a clear zone (fresnel zone), larger than the diameter of the dish...

Re: Co-locate LHG 60ad on same mount

Turn off the other one and see if that changes anything.
That's not so easy I'm afraid since it is in production. I'll take it in consideration. Maybe I can find a way. Thanks

Re: Co-locate LHG 60ad on same mount

So, I've removed the radome for now on both sides. Connection is strong, but error rate still very high. It's a little bit lower then before, but that might be due to better aiming. Signal = 95 rssi = -52 MCS=8 (stable) error rate = between 0% and 30% while idle -> goes up to 60% when transferring d...

Co-locate LHG 60ad on same mount

Hi, I have the following scenario where I need to beam 2Gbit to another location. Distance 500m. I already had setup a pair of LHG60's which worked very well. I now want to attach another pair to double the bandwidth. I've set the two AP's on different frequencies. The existing AP was mounted withou...

Re: wAP 60G experience

We also have two LHGG-60ad making an important 320 meters backhaul that is rock solid. Even with heavy rain it doesn't come down and 1Gb+ aggregated is not a single issue. I am replacing all my Ignitenet 60Ghz stuff (had 4 links of them) by these Mikrotik units. Mikrotik is not only 1/4 of the cost...
