Re: OVPN bridging

I have confirmed this does work in 6.7. I made the mistake of upgrading a ovpn concentrator to 6.15 from 5.26 needless to say all of the connections stopped functioning.

Any update of when or if this will be corrected. I could not even ping the ip of the remote ovpn-out interface after upgrading.

Re: urgent: dude cause router or switch cpu peak high

I have run into this problem not only with the dude, but with many network management systems that probe all the interfaces on a router/switch. The problem comes from if you have a high number or arp addresses or interfaces/subinterfaces that causes the processor on the device to go through the roof...

Re: bug in 3.4? - bitrate not showing

I am having the same problem and is sporadic which devices have the problem. Older versions of routeros seem to work and newer "versions 3.25 - 4.2" are the ones that are having the issues, but I do have some with version 3.30 that are working. It will start updating again If you open the device up ...

Re: MikroTik User Meeting in USA

As far as Dallas, well Dallas is Dallas. Hey watch it now! Some additions would be the wineries in Grapevine just a short drive up 360. There is also the Gaylord in Grapevine as well. It has quite a few nice restaurants & Bars overlooking the lake. If you like Sushi there Blue Fish on the other sid...

Re: OpenVPN implementation vs default gateway

I have got this to work somewhat like what you are talking about. This is an example of how I have an openvpn connection routing all of the private IP space through a mikrotik router. I created an openvpn bridge ovpn-br0 with address of 192.168.5.129 pool of openvpn with addresses 192.168.130-192.16...

openvpn 3.27

I have been having trouble with openvpn and v 3.27 on one router rb450G on my outbound ovpn connection it is enabled but the routes for that interface stay inactive. I tried to test this on another test system x86 with a newly downloaded and installed version of 3.27 now I get this in the log 20:50:...

Re: Cheapest MPLS router?

You can use as small as a cisco 1811 if you want basic mpls functionality.

Another vendor would be a riverstone now sold by alcatel rs3000 you can find some refurbs very reasonably and these routers support mpls as well as vpls. They were some of the first to implement vpls technology.

Re: IPIP Tunnel Query

the source address in an ipip tunnel is what the packet leaving is tagged as the source and should be the same as the destination on the other end of the tunnel this will follow the general routing rules to leave the easiest way to control the traffic is by adding basically a loopback bridge interfa...

OSPF nssa

I am trying to join a mikrotik router to a cisco running a nssa area but it seems to never fully init as a neighbor it starts and then rejects the cisco as a unknown neighbor is there anyone who has a working config of mikrotik running an ospf nssa area that wouldn't mind sharing it
