Re: RB5009 to HAP AC^3 PoE

Never mind! I just had to set it to "forced on" and let the RBPOE-CON-HP stabilize before connecting a load. All good now!

RB5009 to HAP AC^3 PoE

I currently use a HeX PoE and have it powering a HAP AC3 from port 5. It takes 24V and runs the HAP fine with the port set to "forced on". I am working on migrating to a RB5009 and noticed that it only outputs over PoE what it receives, so in this case 48V from the provided AC adapter. The...

Re: (BUG) Dude Client crashing on device details and charts

After much research and testing it almost exclusively seems to be related to cpu/memory/disk/virt SNMP data sources, and possibly RouterOS ones, too. I rolled back the Dude server to LTS (6.45.9), and had to switch all the RouterOS-integrated devices to SNMP, and anything monitored by remote agents ...

Re: (BUG) Dude Client crashing on device details and charts

So, the problem came back an hour or two later. But it wasn't consistently reproducible, and just random / sporadic. And then some devices disappeared from the map. And some images, too. And then it seems like I started to hit every other bug and edge case that I've ever read about. Deleting every s...

Re: (BUG) Dude Client crashing on device details and charts

I believe I narrowed the problem down to certain Data Sources. I have a lot of SNMP data sources and I think the recorded data gets botched sometimes, is probably the cause. I found a workaround, since I have autodiscover profiles covering 99% of the service, I can remove all of the services from th...

Re: (BUG) Dude Client crashing on device details and charts

Thanks for the thought... I just tried deleting all disabled / inactive services... still crashes on a variety of devices.

Re: (BUG) Dude Client crashing on device details and charts

It seems like it is related to recorded SNMP data, but the keeps recurring even after service data is removed, after some more logging occurs

(Solved) Re: Problem with 'Execute locally' Notification

I need to use "Execute on Server " not "Execute locally". Matter of perspective :) /tool fetch mode=https url="https://mattermost.example.com/hooks/WEBOOKID" http-method=post http-data="{\"text\": \":v2: `[Device.Name]`: `[Probe.Name]` is now **[Serv...

(BUG) Dude Client crashing on device details and charts

Since the last upgrade to v6.47, my Dude client crashes on a number of devices when I mouse over them in the Map view (charts start to appear and then client disconnects and starts reconnecting) The same thing happens with when I try to view those device's details / settings screen -- Other devices ...

(Solved) Mattermost webhook notifications

I am running a VM with 6.44.1 Stable and The Dude server. I have been using The Dude for several years, and can't seem to figure out where the failure is. I think I've found a bug. If I run the following command from a Terminal on the device, it works fine. But, if I have a Dude notification set up ...
