MyThoughts: Your assumption is incorrect.

We had 10mhz channels running fine in 4.4 on R52N for months, but they broke when we upgraded to 4.9.

I don't think it's a R52N problem, it's a RouterOS problem.

We just downgraded back to 4.4 and our customers came back up.

Hopefully they are working on nstreme so we can do some longer links that non-nstreme won't handle

I got a reply from Mikrotik support about this subject and he said something I didn't quite understand - maybe you can enlighten me?

"You can add LED for the power, it will increase the edge to +0.6V."

What does this mean? Turn on all the LED's on the board?

thanks,

28v Over-voltage protection - Just say NO!

I'm pulling my hair out and wasting all kinds of money on voltage regulators to make sure my solar and dc-powered sites don't cause mikrotik routerboards to go into over-voltage protection when the batteries get charged over 28v. I'm begging (and asking for you to join me) Mikrotik to: 1. Upgrade th...

TDMA and GPS on a routerboard?

I'd much rather see polling done in hardware (fpga) so we can scale like crazy, but would TDMA be of any use in software? Someone apparently is doing that... Examples: FreeBSD (looks like it could even use GPS - why not add GPS to a routerboard?): http://siomail.ucsd.edu/pipermail/swap/2009-January/...

Confirming current status of 802.11n

Can we get a confirmation from Mikrotik on a few things on 4.0b4?

1. Is nstreme polling working with N?

2. Adaptive noise immunity - that is not working, correct?

3. WDS / non-wds - what works and what doesn't? Workarounds?

Thanks!

Be careful upgrading to 4.0b4. I lost a link doing this. Appears to be something to do with noise immunity. Others have had similar problems. When I can get the far side and shut that off, I'll post whether that fixed it. Link comes up for only a second or so then gets lost.

Re: 802.11n - Chains...

All AMPDU priorities are checked and we are using the 1st and 3rd chain.
I think this is your problem.

The chains are 0,1,2,3

Are you using the FIRST and THIRD chain (0 and 2) or 1 and 3? You should probably be using 0 and 2 if you are using the two outside antenna connectors.

Don't bag on the UFL connectors too much. From what I've read, the MMCX, while more convenient / reliable / un-frustrating tend to act as stronger antennas causing more cross talk between themselves. I'm guessing the UFL connector was a concious design choice to allow better separation and less inte...

We are running a link with 333 boards and XR3's in the US licensed 3.65 band. Mikrotik "sees" the channels on the card as 5.8 channels, then you downshift those to the correct 3.65 frequencies. There are basically 3 available channels: ChannelA 5765MHz --> 3658MHz 5/10MHz ChannelB 5770MHz ...
