Re: LTE modems in v7beta1 / Sierra MC7354 / MBIM support?

Hi, for your information, I just tried to use the D-Link DWM-222 4G modem/dongle on the hAP ac2 with RouterOS 7beta2 . The LED on the dongle becomes green. (On a windows PC a CD Drive is offered). But this seems not usable on this system. Some AT commands probably suppress the CD offering, but I wan...

Confirmed. This works, after upgrading to 6.46beta and updating bootloader (Routerboard upgrade).
Thanks !

Special instructions for installing RouterOS 7 beta2 ? [SOLVED]

Hi, is there anything special to watch out for when installing RouterOS 7 beta2? I copied the npk to RAM as I normally do for other upgrades and rebooted. But there was no wifi and there was no means to connect to the device. Device is hAP ac2. Current version is the long term 6.44.5 . There is some...

Re: Station roaming + Wik explanation

Not only an impact for the P2MP performance, but by setting it to disabled (it is enabled by default) it stopped the repeated disconnects triggered by that background scan. We don't want sticky clients, but in a P2MP being sticky can be the better choice. (e.g. if there is no second AP to connect to).

Re: Wlan connection loss every 10 minutes

Hi, I had a similar problem with my connection in the hAP ac Lite dropping almost every hour, triggered by that background scan. (Testing hAP Lite, hAp ac Lite, hAp ac2, wAP ac, Omnitik ac, SXTsq ac for WDS, bridge and PtMP) Yesterday I stopped the "searching for a better AP" on the hAp ac Lite, and...

Re: What isn't matching??

About that background scan that triggers every 5 minutes, and is the cause of some disconnects due to "no beacon received" during that scan, I wonder what this will bring me, in an attempt to STOP the 5 minute background scan from happening, as the PtP connection is very static (there is no other AP...

Re: In over my head

Well as far as I can follow the configuration the Groove and the PC are not neighbours. The Groove is on the WAN side op the hAP AC , and the PC is on the LAN side of the hAP AC? Two different networks. The WAN side is towards the internet. A LAN side device can reach a WAN side device by its IP add...

Re: How to activate internet and wifi? [no network knowledge, home user]

Hi, you didn't tell what MikroTik box you have. Difficult to help you with this really basic stuff. If you want to set a DHCP client on the bridge, don't forget to remove it first from the ethernet interface. Maybe you can use this (might need some web-page translation) : http://www.spanheim.nl/inde...

Re: v6.45.3 [stable] is released!

We know that a WinBOX upgrade was needed to v3.19 for login in release 6.45.x , now WinBOX v3.19 does succeed in this login but only sometimes for 6.45.3 (and even for the latest test version) . When it fails then 6 or more attempts are needed to log in (user en password wrong message), all that tim...

Re: What isn't matching??

We still have this error message all the time (6.45.3) and we still don't understand why. After searching bit-by-bit what the mismatch could be in my connect-list I finally gave up, and started doing a lot of reading in the forum. The answer of "airock" is NOT very helpfull. Don't blame us as not re...

Re: v6.45.3 [stable] is released!

web proxy is not working with stable 6.45.3 on hAP Lite, not with the redirect firewall rule, nor with the explicit setting of the proxy server in the browser . Did work before, returned to long term 6.44.5 and it is working again. Why a web-proxy on such a small device, without even caching someth...

Re: ROS 6.38 serious DHCP server problem

You cannot run DHCP over a pseudobrigde operated in reverse. (i.e. with the DHCP server at the station side and the DHCP client at the AP side), as you will encounter the problem you describe. However that is true for all WiFi equipment. In the "normal" situation of having the DHCP server at the AP...

Re: ROS 6.38 serious DHCP server problem

As far i could see, from client side (wireshark), DHCP packet is sent to the broadcast (Msg type: discover ) which Mikrotik device receive and send back a Msg Type: offer. Thing here (and tested several times) is either DHCP packet type (offer) is not sent correctly or is sent as ARP broadcast aski...

Re: TP Link Repeater RE450 not assigning IP address

Hi, I have the same problem with the RE450. (This same problem also applies with the RE450 and a Draytek Vigor 2132 router). I can see the DHCP offering from the Mikrotik hAP in the DHCP server leases list. It lasts 30 seconds (status offered) and then disappears. By using the Sniffer tool in the hA...

Re: Interface Data Quota

Hi, I used this excellent LTELimiter script for several weeks on 2 SXT's. Keeping an eye on the data volumes. It works excellent. Thanks for sharing! I made it only run every 10 minutes not to damage the flash with too many write operations. The reset of the interface counters in an SXT LTE kit is a...
