Re: Is too much to ask for Dude x64 windows client?

I worked around with a virtual Win11-Arm-64bit in Vmware Fusion. Winbox and Dude works with the integrated emulation. Attached a USB-Networkadapter. Works fine so Dude works with MAC-Address based connect, too. MacBooks are crazy fast so the emulation runs fine.

With your environment, a CCR will literally fall over. It simply can not deal with BGP, Firewall Rules, and Traffic in high quantities. High traffic and maybe 100 firewall rules, will be enough to stop the CCR dead in it's tracks. It's definitely not the 'flagship' that MT is making it out to be. A...

Cleaner pattern, same gain with different frequencies, low sidelobe, much better FB Ratio.

Re: ARM devices and NV2 protocol

With ubiquiti AF HD we are very close to have 100 mb/s download speed with 10 MHz for PtP NOW for AP side with cambium we have >300 Mb/s@20 MHz using ultra dense mu-mimo technology So if DISC Lite5 ac DiscG-5acD 240mbit (if it really works) cost is 45$, what is the cost of cambium per mbit? Still a waste of spectrum these days. Hope .ax shows up soon. >100M Capacity/10MHz is 2019.

Re: LHG60 Link goes down when it rains

I have setup a new 60Ghz link using 2 x LHG-60's bought as a kit, the link was good -64db over 840.44m but as soon as it rains the link goes down.
Yes. Signal should be better. 60GHz needs a lot of margin.

Re: Injecting partial BGP/Aggregate routes into OSPF

Trying this now but my routing filters do not work as expected. I test with an ibgp peer where I only send all (global) /8 prefixes from a running bgp server to keep table small for testing. I see the /8 prefixes coming in but the ospf filter does not match as expected. Nothing is redistributed into...

A 1100AHx4 with more memory and sfp+ interfaces would be great.

Re: LHG 60G experience

Interesting experiences. I have some test kit going up soon which is by Google mapping 2.63Km clear LOS tower to tower. I'm not expecting full PHY rates but am wondering what it will reach and how any rain will affect the link. My hope is that it folds back and doesn't go off completely. Mikrotik i...

CRS317 Problems with 100MBit Devices / What a shame

We still have packet loss to devices connected to a S-RJ01 at 100MBit plugged into a CRS317. This is basic functionality of a switch. And this keeps going on. Updated to 6.42.9 (stable) with no effekt. Sure anyone want to put this into his core Network ? @MT you have to put this restrictions to the ...

What can I do with this SFP module?
I plugged it into my RB2011 and I am thinking I can use it like another interface?

Pros?
This ja a sfp+ Module.

Re: Strange effect with routing MTU/Packet Sniffer

Hi.
Running the sniffer will disable fast path and fasttrack. If you have fp/ft enabled, then is a thing to look.
In IP Setting fastpath/fasttrack counters are "0".

Strange effect with routing MTU/Packet Sniffer

I am tracking down a Problem where I could send only Packets of size 1486 to a router. Using another IP of this same router I could send 1500. I tried to sniff at the router one hop before to see what is happening. From this router I can send 1500 byte packets to both IPs. As soon as I enable the Pa...

Re: v6.40.9 [bugfix] is released!

Cant downgrade a CCR-1036-8G-S2+ EM from 6.43 to 6.40.9.

Currently on 6.43. Reset config. Then upload os. In winbox->package Downgrade. After reboot Router Shows "starting Services" and is not accessible. Has to be netinstalled.

Re: MPLS, BGP and OSPF design for wisp

You definitely don't want to do it with a small CRS. Look at using a 3011 at smaller sites and CCR at others.
I would opt for an 1100AHx4 instead 3011. More cpu power and more power options.

Re: v6.43 [current] is released!

Updated a new CCR to 6.43. Added some bridges and then some vlans to the bridges. One vlan does not show as slave of the bridge. I guess a problem of the bridge changes. So I downgraded to stable. This bricked the ccr. Hangs with starting services. Netinstalled 6.43 and started over. So sure stable ...

Re: Injecting partial BGP/Aggregate routes into OSPF

On the BGP routers, turn on bgp redistribution then add only the wanted routes into ospf-out filter denying the others, so it will redistribute only those?
Done this? I fear as the BGP process is single threaded and eats a whole cpu of the CCR it may cause problems.

How many routes do you want to put in OSPF?
About 20 in addition to our internal routes (300).

Injecting partial BGP/Aggregate routes into OSPF

Is this doable? Found no example. I don't want to do iBGP everywhere. I just want to redistribute a handful routes into ospf as soon as they are learned with bgp. The rest should use default routes.
