Can you create a second proper "type=loopback" interface or do you need to still do it the old school way of creating a bridge interface with no ports?

Re: v7 - Winbox - DHCP lease - right click "make static" - where did it go?

When having these numbers of static devices, you might want to consider doing it through cli.
Again, more work.

Winbox is what really sells Mikrotik to the average user wanting to break in to serious networking

Its just a suggestion to make Mikrotik more user friendly and work flow efficient

v7 - Winbox - DHCP lease - right click "make static" - where did it go?

Is it just me or did the highlight DHCP lease, right click "Make Static" option disappear?

Make static is available at the top of the DHCP lease box, but making a static lease by right clicking while highlighting is so much more convenient.

Agreed, not just stylistic. I recall using a short lease-time interacting poorly with power saving on iOS, likely others. 30m seems like a good middle ground. What is the reason to have such short lease-times? Maybe it is useful in a guest wifi in a restaurant or similar, but in "normal" ...

Hi MRZ,

tried upgrading to version 7 and to be honest it doesn't work, plus the bgp had a major memory leak that duplicated the learned routes every 2 mins until the box ran out of memory, so downgraded back to version 6.49.1
v7 is still in development, not for production use.

Re: CSS610-8G-2S+ Management Access from SFP+ Port

So how is RC12 doing? Anyone using it in production? I have a few of the Netpower 7R's and all I really need is basic VLAN functionality with reverse POE at gigabit speeds. I have no use atm for the SFP. They are up to RC25 now. Check the other thread on this section. Some things are still borked, ...

Same as yours:
5 sec and 1514 bytes
I wonder if those values need tweaking to give a potentially better outcome.
Yea, I was wondering the same. It seems the consensus in other places than this thread, is to use perturb=10 in order to mimic CAKE/FQ-CODEL as much as possible.

Can someone update me on the current status of the CSS610 firmware? Can one access the management site over the SFP+ ports? Do VLANs properly work now? Any other pressing issues remaining? How far away is this software from deploying in a small production environment? Thanks, MB Scroll up the page ...

I see everyone saying that links >1km should use 58320Mhz and when put into Auto mode, it always sets itself to 58320. (My link is ~400m)

But what about in heavier rain zones like the Southern US? Has anyone tried using 64800 due to the higher frequency being more rain friendly?

Its very likely a software bug. If everything is working, I wouldnt read much into it. The firmware is still in BETA and currently at 2.13RC12. DL link is towards bottom of this thread incase you're interested. But if everything is working, I would just wait until a stable is released

We are still running rc6 and had it stop responding to pings and SNMP today. At first I thought it was cold related (10 degrees F when the problem began) but it never cleared up once it warmed up. I have not rebooted the switch yet. It is still passing traffic but we can't get at it, it won't respo...

Go check Cisco forums for new products they release. Give folks some slack. We have January 25th, 2021 ....
