Re: Unifi vs Mikrotik MESH vs Aruba

Hi, I was wondering what you chose for your project. Actually, I'm curious if you had gone with Mikrotik because I have I big area that I need to cover with unwired APs so I need to go for a mesh network, but like you, I haven't seen any implementation of HWMP+. I'll run some tests of course if I go...

Load Balancing / Route Selection not recovering ...

Hi, I set up some routing rules to route my voip traffic through 2 ADSL lines. Everything works fine, until something happens with the connection. If there is something wrong with the PPPoE-client (ADSL) connection the traffic goes again to the default route (OK), but as soon as the ADSL connection ...

Hello, I had this L2TP tunnel working fine for almost a month. But now suddenly it's not working properly anymore. The only thing that I changed in the routers recently was that I removed the admin user from all routers changing for a different username with full access. Here is my config ... L2TP-S...

IPSec transport mode configuration issue

Hi, Yesterday I setup an IPSec tunnel successfully, but I found out that if the remote peer would go offline for some reason the tunnel did not re-establish by itself. I kept receiving some errors in the remote router's log saying the "IPSec could not start the quick mode" ... So, I decided to try l...

Re: ARP mode reply-only lock

Yeah, there must be a problem with the arp=reply-only mode. I changed to arp=enabled and everything is working for 3 days now.

Is there anyone using arp=reply-only with success ?

Thanks

Re: RADIUS attribute Mikrotik-Mark-Id ?????

If the rule number "2" on mangle table does not count any packet, then theres no traffic passing through hotspot chain. You may need to add a jump rule in your mangle table just like the following: chain=forward action=jump jump-target=hotspot The same goes to the filter table, but the nat table ha...

Hi Ozelo, Here is my mangle table, I have even disabled my two first rules, but it doesn't match, it does not count packets. Just one more question I could not totally (reliably) test it ...

If I specify an TX Max rate, does MK limit the upload speed until TX, or it doesn't cap the upload speed at all ?
Does anybody know if MK plans to make RX rate limit work with every CPE ?

I do not know what kind of client you are using...some have the ability (like MT) to set a scan list of frequencies, that should help in the oscillations as the client will use the list to scan for an AP in sequence and attach itself to the first one it finds (hopefully your primary for that client...
