Re: Simple queue that covers all traffic on a single ethernet port.

Is it a bridged port? queue bridge instead. if you really needed just that one port queued you should look at seperating the traffic via vlans.

you can also target whole subnets ie. "192.168.88.0/24"

Hello, I was trying to set up a printer to my clients hap-lite but it would just connect and then disconnect repeatable until the printers wps stopped. kept saying unicast exchange key timeout. signal was fine, i tried every option possible for unicast in the security profiles (aes, tkip, both) just...

Re: Yet another DHCP to DNS script

I'm confused about the purpose of this script. why add dns entries for each user? shouldn't you just set up all users to the same 2-3 stable servers under dhcp-server/network for dns lookup?

Re: LHG HP5 benefits over LHG 5 [SOLVED]

You can achieve more signal, but only 1km on an LHG (HP or not) is way too powerful. you'll need to reduce tx-power on both sides or purposely mis-align the dish to not get too much signal. just make sure you stay out of the 30s. you'll likely run into issues with this much signal. I didn't realize ...

1. this is normal behaviour. the first one is catching only data with that src address, the packet mark rule is catching everything with that connection mark. 2. https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Packet_Flow_v6 3. Never tried this but Your queue tree will likely use more cpu than the rest of the...

I've never seen the error, but you should use

get [find where name="ether1"]

instead of using

Download Netinstall and use it to reset your router once you've launched it into etherboot mode.

Re: v6.46.8 [long-term] is released!

Dhcpv6 server "make static" still doesn't work properly. If client router is rebooted which causes the IAID to change dhcpv6 server creates a new dynamic entry for the same DUID but with different IAID. due to this; dual stack queuing isn't possible as new address will no longer be queued....

Re: Redirect subnet to interface

Default route out wan 1. then use routing marks in the prerouting chain in mangle to mark the second subnet with a routing mark. you'll need two src nat rules one for all unmarked traffic and another for the marked traffic. each one to their respective interfaces. Look into the mikrotik PCC load bal...

Re: BGP Can only access certain websites

Well it seems we can reach every site now (at least every one I've tried) the ISP's uplink router wasn't properly advertising our prefixes. I never even noticed the option on ARIN! I have just added all the options under IRR with somewhat minimal information. (didn't include import/export. but accor...

BGP Can only access certain websites

Hello! I've recently swapped my isp connection to include a full bgp routing table. I establish the peer and receive 900,000 prefixes (ipv4 +ipv6) I advertise 2 prefixes (my Arin ipv4 and ipv6) I used the scope to ensure all the routes were active as outlined by mikrotik. However i can only ping all...

is it all your private network? looks like you have a triple NAT going on. If i were you i would see if i could get my global ip on the mikrotik instead of the 192. make your mikrotik have a masquerade (it already should with your current set up, and change your mikrotik network to something smaller...

Re: v6.47.1 [stable] is released!

Hey! I'm not sure if this has been pointed out before or not. but in 6.46 you updated dhcpv6 server to give a "User-Name" attribute for radius accounting. it did indeed fix that but every since that release dhcpv6 "delegated-ipv6-prefix" doesnt work for accounting only. you can s...

Re: Mikrotik ipv6 Radius Accounting not working

Stable release 6.46 fixes the username not being sent from dhcpv6 accounting. however now the router will not give the radius server a delegatedipv6prefix attribute. So somehow they made it even less functional. ive tried 6.47.1, 6.46 and 6.48 beta12. still dhcpv6 accounting doesn't work properly. o...

Hello trying to run a Dhcpv6 server to set up static prefixes that I can dual-stack queue. everything works just as expected except for the fact that DHCPV6 doesn't use MAC addresses. and instead uses DUID and IAID. the problem with them doing it this way is static bindings are impossible as the IAI...
