Re: Any suggestion welcome. Solved

This is half solved, seems to be an issue with host database when mlag is used. Rebooting one switch allowed it to be accessed via IP FROM THE SAME L2 ONLY, then Rebooting the other one did the same thing they both became available by ip in a browser but only if your on the same l2 routing to them f...

Thank you that is solid advice, not sure it solves the problem, but it does solve a problem so thank you for that reminder to not be lazy.

Mlag breaks access to switch *half Solved*

I have two crs328-24p-4s+rm running 7.5 I enabled mlag over a bonded peer link, I am only using L2 features no l3 features on the switch and no acl. Once I enabled mlag I lost access to the switch via ip address but can still connect via winbox either wired or wirelessly. All traffic is passing and ...

Nearly 1 full year since the release and yet we still have no upgrades? They must consider this branch perfect and plan nothing more.

VLAN access allowed when specifically denied.

Today when cleaning up vlans I noticed I mistakenly enabled the wrong vlan on a port on the VLANS page, but assigned it the correct vlan on the VLAN page. This is what I think is going on can the community confirm it form. Because on the VLAN page I have that port set as strict "only untagged&q...

Re: Question about redundant connections.

Well seems only the CRS units support MLAG so I wouldn't be able to create an MLAG from the RB4011 so I guess option #2 it is.

Question about redundant connections.

Hello all. I am considering moving to RouterOS 7 to help remove a single point of failure I have currently and wanted to see if anyone could shed some thought on my proposed solution. I currently have a Pair of Fortinet firewalls that are in an Active/Standby pair Those each have a lag to CSS326-24G...

SFP+ compatibility issue?

I bought 10gTeK fiber SFP's for CRS309-1G-8S+. They link up and work just like expected I had no idea there was an issue for a long time. The device on the other side of the fiber is an F5 hardware appliance with OEM fiber SFP. What I noticed was when I rebooted the F5 the link would not re-establis...

Re: Very high latency on CHS with P10 trial.

I did some more testing and I am starting to think this is not an issue with the CHR. I think I have a bad AP, doing more testing I was able to replicate the issue with the hardware firewall with my device connected to a different AP. I got lead to this by decided to see what wired to wired testing ...

Re: Very high latency on CHS with P10 trial.

I changed config to a single trunked port broke that to vlans, then added the vlans to a bridge and get slightly better but still off results. So it goes several pings low then climbs then stays high for several pings then starts over. Screenshot_20191009-181126_Network Analyzer.jpg Screenshot_20191...

Very high latency on CHS with P10 trial.

I wanted to get a feel for how MT router in my environment would look and if it would solve a problem I had. So before buying the 4011 the people on this forum helped me decided on I decided to spin up CHR in my esx cluster. I created 1 interface per VLAN having this in the path seems to add around ...

Re: SwOS version 2.10 released!

Can you not just select static from the drop-down? I have only used passive and active on Mikrotik myself but I see static as an option, maybe there is a code issue or something but when I have done static between my esx host and my Fortinet switches it was as simple as tagging the ports as part of ...

Re: RB4011

Can anyone tell me what I might expect routing between 10 subnets using just the sfp+ connected to CCS326 might give me? Currently, I have a FortiGate 200b as my Firewall/router and it will remain the firewall to the internet, but when I am running test on some of my esx hosts that are 10G capable i...

10G optics

Hello. I am considering moving to 10G SFP+ optics rather than the DAC's I am using to see if that correct the issue with the RX/TX Pauses I am having. I am wanting to know if people have found that non Mikrotik SFP+ cause issues and I need to stick to Mikorik branded ones or there are 3rd party opti...

Re: Overruns on CSS326-24G-2S+RM

If you look at my screen grab above you can see a list of 3M DAC's that also seem to have this same issue with Flow control enabled. I am really leaning towards trying optics out, if you try optics I would be interested to hear if that fixed it. @chechito I have never had to disable flow control bef...

Re: Overruns on CSS326-24G-2S+RM

This is why I am wondering if its the DAC's. On the interface labeled Core94 I can get seeing this type of error as its a 10g link that downstream has to exit 1g link either to a lan device or the fiber internet. However on the esx it doesn't make much sense they each have bonded 10g pairs and I can...

Re: SwOS version 2.10 released!

I now have two switches running this both with cisco active Twinax and they both suffer RX/TX Pauses, but that seems to be an issue going back to 2.8 code. Aside from that all other features seem to work, RSTP works, vlans work, lacp works. Even with the Pauses I can still push data through at high ...

Re: Overruns on CSS326-24G-2S+RM

I have this same issue 2.10 I am wondering if anyone can say if they have this issue using Mikrotik SFP+ transceiver and any brand of fiber. I am starting to wonder if its a DAC issue. I can see this between my CSS3266-24G-2S+RM and my CRS309-1G-8S+ using a 10m Cisco active Twinax, as well as betwee...

I installed a fan and it went to 37 under load, but I still get TX/RX Pauses when using a 10m Cisco Active Twinax between it and another Mikrotik switch. I see this same issue on ...

Management Port MAC Address not unique

Hello All. I am new to SWos so maybe this is just how it is but hoping I just did something wrong. on both CSS326-24G-2S+ and CRS309-1G-8S+ all ports seem to share the same MAC address, where this is a problem is when I want to set the management interface to "Allow From Ports". because al...

Re: SwOS version 2.10 released!

This my first MikroTik switch CRS309 just Plugged it in yesterday and installed 2.10. Running SwOS feeding three ESX servers each with dual 10g Lag's using Twinax, with VLAN enforcement. Everything seems to work correctly, though my current POE switches won't seem to power this switch for some reaso...
