This can be accomplished. I just paid Butch Evans (http://www.butchevans.com) to do it for me... We have an SDSL for internet traffic and a T1 for VoIP calls... With the proper SIP "Flow-Mark" and Routing this can be done and it works extremely well... My last bit of advice is GET PUBLIC IP's and SU...

how to test?

What is the best method to test that P2P is being blocked? I went through the whole firewall chain, even added the traffic monitoring...but still I have a client that has every port from 1000 - 6900...and they are all active... Throttling only pisses him off. Let me know how I can limit the ammount ...

force firewall connection timeout

I looked all over for a solution to this, its not a huge deal, but I would like to know for future reference... In my firewall "connections" I have all my connections and they count down if they are not being used. Some of them have a timeout of 120:00:00 Is there a way to force a timeout on these? ...

same problem

I am having the same issue...

the wifi link is being compromised because the packets have to travel all the way back to the router before they are dropped.

How can a cable or DSL provider not have this problem?

What is they're trick? I am not trying to become an AV salesman...

still not clear on MAC passthrough in a hotspot...

I am used to using WSG and ISG gateways from Handlink. They have a MAC Passthrough table that I simply go into, add the MAC and poof! No more portal or radius auth for that client. I am not understanding how to accomplish this in MT 2.8 :?: Must I create a src nat, dst nat, and mangle rule for every...

i am currently investigating the same question. I want anyone that just picks up our signal to hit a portal page...maybe even run through the radius and allow them to sign up...

But i dont want everyone to have to log in namely my clients that are fixed wireless monthly subscribers.. any ideas? :?:
