Hello,
why have you S+85DLC03DI SFP+ modules ?
The correct PN is S+85DLC03D, whitout "I".
"I" version have less distance capacity and other shortcomings.

You should not use the Mikrotik tool. It is inefficient and does not use multi cores. Connect a machine either side and do a “real” throughout test. If your seller provides no warranty, you can either replace the cap, like others posted above. To prolong the life of the cap, you can set the FAN mode to "redundant" which increases fan speed and brings temperature down by at least 3 degrees celsius. You can also mount the device in some other way...

Re: OSPF Filter for Source IP Address

I would use policy based routing. You tag the flows with mangle and route on the tag. There is a use case on my network that I had to do this where a small segment of traffic does not flow over the OSPF best path. I agree, but so need to replicate mangle rules and route (mark) on each node. Edit/ad...

Re: OSPF Filter for Source IP Address

Personally, I would say that it's probably better not to differentiate the two links like that - let both serve traffic for both flows using equal-cost-multi-path routes (which OSPF will happily install into your routing table for you) My customer is a bit "stupid" and want to differentiate flow as...

which cisco router do you use ?
Two CISCO 2951.

At this time, i implemented  eBGP to redistribute ONLY Static subnets (on NASs)

The two Cisco 2951 have public AS.

So, this sistem work, but it's a poor solution...

Re: OSPF and Routing Filters to manage PPPoE Server side failover for routed subnet

Leonset's suggestion has much merit. What about using "service-name" on your PPPoE Clients? Re: OSPF and Routing Filters to manage PPPoE Server side failover for routed subnet

I wouldn't recommend BGP for this - it's not well-suited as an interior routing protocol. iBGP will keep the "next hop" intact by default, so you'd want to make sure that the pppoe servers were sending next-hop=self (I forget the exact option in Mikrotik, but you get the idea) You could make it wor...

Or Mikrotik could fix the behavior of the OSPF redistribution function. ;)
Also - it would be nice if routing filters allowed you to set the cost metric when redistributing routes into OSPF...

Re: OSPF and Routing Filters to manage PPPoE Server side failover for routed subnet

I think dividing your pppoe servers into primary and backup roles is going to be the only option for you since you can't specify an OSPF metric in the routing filters. You are right, but, at moment, all PPPoE Servers must be primary and backup at same time. Primary and backup is associated to custo...

Re: OSPF Filter for Source IP Address

I think, you can use one link (in one direction) in a time - with OSPF. You can force link1 to downstream and link2 to upstream with OSPF, but for selecting links based on source and/or destination, you have to use BGP. OSPF always selects the shortest past (based on cost) and have no filter action...
