Re: v7.10, 7.10.1 and more [stable] are released!

Is it possible that IPv6 addresses on a wireguard interface aren't working anymore? I don't mean IPv6 as an endpoint address but inside the wireguard "net". I'm using a CHR to give some of my machines fixed external IPv6 addresses. On 7.10 it's not working anymore. I had to downgrade back ...

Re: FEATURE REQUEST: BBR(Bottleneck Bandwidth and Round-trip propagation time) Congestion Control

Tell me if I'm wrong but this wouldn't have any impact in routed traffic. Only if you would use your RouterOS as proxy or webserver or similar. BUT: As I often have problems with my ISP that I don't get my download speed as I should I found out it helps sometimes A LOT if I use a VPS as proxy with T...

Re: v7.7 [stable] is released!

Beside the DNS problem I've already mentioned here: Even though I've disabled the NTP server I can't run a wireguard server on Port 123 anymore. It was working with 7.6. wg_mobil: Could not create IPv4 socket Port 124 is working so I guess RouterOS is blocking this port even with NTP server disabled...

Re: v7.7 [stable] is released!

I think this change *) dns - query upstream DNS servers for other record types even if static entry exists; creates some big problem for me. [...] I'm having the same problem. Since 7.7 my home assistant instance (not on MT, but also in Docker) can't resolve my internal hostnames anymore. I also se...

Is there any hint when it does come back? I hope it is even planned to bring it back!?
Having it on my RB5009 would be just so frickin' amazing.

I can confirm it's working on CRS309-1G-8S+ and CRS328-24P-4S+
Tried that with a Huawei MA5671A GPON-ONU.

Re: v7.1.1 is released!

I have two CRS328-24P-4S+ and both are randomly losing links on SFP+ (different modules .. fibre, dac and 10gbase-t. On one of the switches fibre and 10gbase-t always losing its connection at the exact same time) with 7.1.1.

I had to go back to 6.49.2.

Re: v7.2rc1 is released!

I just updated my switches to 7.1.1 because of this reason.
I hoped I can enable igmp snooping again and at the moment it's working fine. But I also experienced at v6 that it sometimes works fine for a while and then breaks.

Re: v7.1rc2 [development] is released!

Had two random crashes today on my RB5009 on rc2. I'm actually not running anything special except many wireguard-connections and one l2tp. No queues. rc1 was running for 4 days without any crash. rc2 was crashing after about 28 hours (while everyone was sleeping so nearly no traffic), then after ab...

omg .. IPv6 NAT? Now I'm kind of hyped.
Always had IPv6 turned off in my main vlan because I couldn't make failover possible. So now it should be possible or am I wrong?

No DoH, also no queues.
I've managed to remove the EoIP and route my stuff now again directly over Wireguard like before. Hope the crashes are gone now. I'll report.

/edit: 12 hours uptime now. So it seems EoIP is kinda broken maybe?!

Re: v7.1beta5 [development] is released!

I've accidently rebooted my RB4011 (without WiFi) after 5 days uptime on 7.1beta5. All was running fine but since this reboot it crashes every about 4 hours. Happened six times now. Sometimes a bit less than 4 hours, sometimes a little above. There's nothing else noticeable. No cpu load, no unusual ...

Re: v6.49beta [testing] is released!

6.48 is the same as rc1 I guess? So this => Tried to update my switches at home (CRS112-8P-4S, CRS112-8G-4S, CRS309-1G-8S+, CRS328-24P-4S+) to 6.48beta40 yesterday (6.47.4 before). Re: v6.48 [stable] is released!

It is unbelievable that this release has not been pulled already or fixed version released for a full month. I'm new to Mikrotik and I've changed many devices in my network quite (too) fast. Now I'm quite shocked what's called stable here. I'm even not seeing a warning or similar that this release ...

Re: v7.1beta3 [development] is released!

Beta 3 on my RB4011iGS+ crashes immediately after boot unfortunately. It runs just for 10-20 seconds and crashes then. Any spontaneously idea? I'll post an export when I have more time. Even with hide-sensitive there are way too many ip addresses shown that I don't want to post. But I actually don't...

Wise people don't even try a beta version which isn't even released officially. ;)

My CCR2004 keeps crashing after some seconds after creating a Wireguard interface. It even gets into a loop then so it's booting, then the router is working some seconds and then it crashes again. Have to remove the interface immediately after the boot to prevent crashing again. Is this a known issu...

Had the same problem with an Nokia FTTH ONT on the other side of my RB4011 (also with 7.1beta2). I had to turn off Auto Negotiation and without enabling any speed to advertise it immediately went to 1Gbps Full-Duplex.
