Re: PoE Oddity, expected results?

If the end device would not support PoE on mode A pairs (some older RouterBoards did not support both mode A and B), nothing would happen as the af/at PSE would not detect anything, If the end device would support mode A but only passive up to 30V (hAP ac2, for example), nothing would happen as the ...

Re: PoE Oddity, expected results?

If you plug the PoE injectors male end into an af/at switch, a cable coming from the female end of the injector is connected to the Cube and it powers up, it means that you have a switch providing the power on mode A pairs. The injector is made as mode B, which is why the mode A pairs just goes thro...

Re: Where to find KNOT LoraWAN Gateway converter settings

Hello, The question from the device manufacturer is not clear as there is no "connection" between the LoRa gateway and the end device. The gateway only receives the LoRaWAN frames sent by the end device and forward them to the server. It is then up to the server what it does with the data ...

Re: Mikrotik hap ac lite powered with poe [SOLVED]

Hello,
What kind of PSU are you using? The behavior of the ether5 LED you are describing can be seen if the hEX S is powered with a high voltage PSU (30-57V) while trying to power on a device that supports only low voltages (18-30V) and the hAP ac lite is one of these devices.

Hello,
We are sorry that you had to face this issue. Please, upgrade your RB5009UPr+S+IN to version 7.6beta6 and you will be able to power on these devices via ether1 from all the PSEs providing mode A.

Re: R11e-LoRa8 on Linux

Hello, You can use Semtech picoGW packet forwarder on any UNIX device. The steps to get R11e-LR8/9 working are the following: 1) run "git clone https://github.com/Lora-net/picoGW_hal.git"; 2) Use any editor to edit line 33 of /picoGW_hal/libloragw/inc/loragw_mcu.h so that it looks like thi...

Re: Lora8 kit: manage via lan?

Hello, This device by default comes configuration, which is made considering ether1 as WAN port, not LAN, which is why there is firewall rule dropping packets, which comes from ether1 towards the device. If you want to access your wAP through ether1 by using IP address, the only thing you should do ...

Re: LoRa Timeout

Hello, Keepalive packets are sent frequently to the server to let you know whether the server is accessible. If an answer is not received, this message is written to the log file. If you see this message, there is a chance that uplinks sent to the server around this moment will not reach the server....

Re: R11e-LoRa9/R11e-LoRa8 supported RB hardware

Found the solution.
Just enter the tab:
SYSTEM - ROUTERBOARD - USB and set the USB Type to: Mini PCIe
That will do the trick und the LoRa8 device appears in the list.
I`m glad you figured it out. This is an good example showing that LoRa need those USB lines.

Re: RB4011 PoE output + cAP ac PoE input without PoE injector??

Okay, I should be clearer, I do not understand how any of the switches can output that kind of voltage on ports?? The standard I get - if it states af it should be able to provide the required output but.......... how? Take the TP Link 105PE for example. Its power supply takes the 60Hz 120V from th...

Re: RB4011 PoE output + cAP ac PoE input without PoE injector??

Short answer - yes, your described setup will work just fine. I agree that it could be a bit challenging if you have to take in account multiple parameters, multiple numbers instead of just one parameter - Power expressed in Watts, but actually it is not a rocket science. As others explained earlier...

In other terms, it will work on any device which could be used with an LTE modem. It can be used with any of our products that have miniPCI-e slot (exceptions RB800 and RB4011). Also, if you have miniPCI-e to USB adapter, you could also connect the LoRa card to any RouterBoard with USB port, for exa...
