doush as long as you have your gateway on cpes a real ip you can assign your customers the others. if telco give you the 10.5.50.0 network ; and the ether1 on rb1000 is your connection point make the 10.5.50.1 or 254 or whatever you call for your gateway. then distrubute the rest.

no, eveything work perfect even when almost 4mbps traffic passes thru tunell, but whenever one of the tunelles lost connection everything goes crazy :s, i was suspicios if these happen all bcoz of version diffrence since 133 runs 2.9.51 and 433 runs 3.14 , but thats not the right place to look for a...

devrim, bythe time you switch to MAC auth. a single mac scan in you subnet causes a much more trouble than a multiple hotspot login! imagine a spoofed mac authenticated with your hotspot and your real customer can get in !

I have tried 3.0 on many 133c boards and have switched back to 2.9 on every single on of them. It just doesn't work well on them. CPU usage is always high and performance is aweful. I won't be even trying it again until 3.0 is finished and the reports of it being so unstable are gone. same issues h...

in WDS case, i ll need 2 radios for each BS. 1 for retrieving the backbone 1 for AP mode.

In this case, you only need a single radio.

locate the files downloadled from rb in windows , must be in documents setting / related user name ; delete them. once done when you try to connect via winbox , it will download the required stuff again.

like everyone said, tried that mac login once , but even i can hacked into my system! i can list almsot 10 free mac spoof programs, i prefer to use pppoe auth. instead of hotspot if you want to eleminate the login problems, but then u need to use ros based cpe's.

Hi , i need to set up a connection to an apartment, each user will have a diffrent user name & pass for hotspot, when i connect to base via 133c and try to distrubute the connection with switch , laptops get the ip address but there is no internet. can someone help me out of this ??

had the same problem, i guess its related with the files stored on computer, as you notice when you first login the rb it downloads some files, delete the files in your cache , under documents and setting flder in you local user name. and try it. must work.

thought i finally get my rb133c working but now faced with another problem ; when i search ; find and properly connect to hostpot; but in status rx is -54 noise flor:-100 SNR: 46 ; and 5.5mbps rate; but there is no transmit ! i get the proper ip via dhcp client but nothing else! any comments ?

ok, solution:

unlike the flow control=hardware in v2.9 ; v3.0 requires flow control set to Xon/Xoff , when you change and login over serial no freezing occurs. Once you change the boot to ethernet, install the v3.0 via netinstall , rb133c running as usual.

had the same trouble! as you tried reseting did not work; the only way; get a null modem cable (both ends female) start hyper terminal in windows ; baudrate 115200 ; databits 8 stop bits:1 flow control: hw and connect; then power your rb on u will see the login info; if the config. is not important ...

i tried to reset device with the jumper on it (soft reset) ; switch off the device; place jumper and wait until booting complets; then switch off again and replace the jumper to original place; nothing happend after boot..
