@doneware Excellent, it's comparable to my current 3x3 AP which is definite progress as wireless has always been a weakness for these devices. Perhaps in the not to distant future I can replace what I'm using and be all mikrotik.

I purchased this as well and 5ghz above channel 100 was semi-broken (super slow), also it didn't have DFS. I went back to using a ea7500 as an AP for my hAP ac2.

Sorry, but I use ROS professionally, I don't particularly care about non-proficient users trying to dumb down a power-user's network OS.
There are many options out there for those users.
It's a good thing you aren't in sales.

How large is the Nebula codebase? Wireguard is compact, this is needed in devices that are already pushing the limits of what can fit into the limited remaining memory.

(edit)
I just looked, the arm7 binary is 14.64 MB and nebula-cert is 4.23 MB

Not that kind of control, but most cable based ISP apply their own firmware to your cable modem without any control on your end anyway so truthfully we can't know what data they have access to. But through NAT router side they certainly don't have access to each device.

Wireguard is still faster than AES with offload on the same machine, CPU usage is low as well. The situation I could see this being an issue is with a lot of wireguard sessions, for the typical user needs there is no downside.

Interesting notion, they could make it compatible with an adapter and sell that adapter under the MikroTik name. It would be then worth their time to do so.

Try changing the protocol version, if using v1 try v2.

In the wiki it states "RouterOS only supports SMB v1.0 and v2.002", they are specific in what version of v2 is supported.

The page also says "SMB1 Extended security" is unsupported.

Yeah but why would you buy such an outdated device when the RB760iGS plus switch has 4x performance for less money?

Or get the hAP ac² with switch for even more performance plus dual band wireless (unless 128MB RAM isn't enough)

Yes you're right I mistook it for the same device, their LTE6 devices just go by bands not international or US. Just verify the bands you need are enabled in the device you posted about (RBLHGR&R11e-LTE6) and it should work for you. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200222/cc2a35215b33889de836a...

Sounds like you want station bridge, are you wanting to use the same SSID?

Thinking about it more, are you trying to have the MikroTik device bridged to your current network and using the same SSID of the router?

With that in mind, I was trying to see what it would cost to switch and what the operational differences would be. Looks like I will be sticking Unifi for now. MikroTik doesn't really have anything to compete directly against the AC Pro (I guess), the cAP AC is close but not really apples to apples.

You could disable the wireless on the Tik and use an external AP, then you have all the great features of RouterOS with wireless that doesn't give you issues.

A console generation lasts typically for 7 years. Even 10GbE makes sense. They are a fast internet marketing opportunity for ISPs by putting replicas at the edge. What makes you want to choose those over the hAP ac²?

With the hAP ac² you get better wireless (dual-band/w AC), much better CPU performance, in a package that isn't noticeably more expensive.

All RouterOS devices (with multiple Ethernet ports) can do what you want.
