I actually now have it partly working - I can now access the customers camera locally from both his router and my office. However, we still cannot access it from outside of my network. The columns his router shows:

External port, internal port, Internal IP address, protocol, Source IP

example:
15000,15000,10.0.0.10, both, (no source IP entered - is this needed? - if so, which router IP do I put there?

The only Mikrotik's doing NAT are now my gateway router, and his home router. I am waiting to get his open/forward commands to see if they are correct or not.

Well, I understand everyone's recommendations to cloud serve this, it probably would be an easier solution. However, I really want to know how to make this work like I originally asked for future reference.

thanks for the input.

So, will this code work with my two cable interfaces? They can either by dynamic or I can set them both (or a single interface) up on a provided static IP. If I leave them both dynamic, both interfaces are in the same subnet and have the same gateway.

Ok, I am already using a static pool for my DHCP. I am also familiar with address lists, as I am using those also.

However, how do I take the IPs in the address list and force them down a certain WAN port?

Let me clear up a few things - it is kind of confusing:

My WAN connection public-gateway is my ATT connection.

The above router code I listed is me trying to get the ATT and one of my cable feeds working together.

I have looked for a solution to this, but cannot find it.

I need to load balance two cable modem feeds into my Mikrotik. Problem is, both connections have the same gateway.

OK, I have had this running for a little while now. I currently only have about 40 IPs using the cache/DNS.

Roughly 350 items in the cache, CPU is now 50%-60% load.

I have a maximum of 13MB of data going through it.

Frego - I am having the same problem with my rb450g. If I turn on "allow remote requests" the CPU almost immediately went to 100%. Now, I was tinkering with it and turned that option from on to off and then on again when the cache had about 400 items in it. (around 200 IPs were using it for caching)...

I cannot ping the remote router from my office PC, nor can I winbox into it....

I can, however, winbox into the Mikrotik attached to my office PC, and successsfully ping the remote router. What am I missing?

yes. Right now it is dynamically assigned on both cable modems. I have 5 static IPs with the package (not using yet), but they also have the same gateway IP (for both modems).

Yes, I went in to each client and released and renewed their IP.

Does this matter: This Mikrotik has a private IP address instead of a public one...Problem?

Ok, I didn't have my reverse DNS entries setup correctly on one of my DNS servers.

Running the command again, it is reporting correctly now.

But, the cache is not being filled. It is still at 33 items, which is what it was after I ran the command.

Any suggestions?

I changed that number from 1524 to 1500. I have a person on the end of the 2nd-wireless-PTP with a attached desktop. Just noticed this in my config:

Shouldn't that MTU be 1500 instead of 1524? Will that cause problems like I am having?

750g power problems

Hello all,

I have the above mentioned router. I have it on a UPS, but every once in a while it will lose power. I have to unplug and replug it several times to get it to come back on.

Does this sound like a power supply issue or a problem with the router itself?

One other note: I use Winbox most of the time for management. It does sometimes show the CPU to be 90-100% - it jumps around. However, I can close Winbox and reopen, and it goes back down to normal.

Actually, I have my main group of IPs split into 4 subnets. It is a class A address subnetted into class C.

Those are not the real IP numbers.

The interface needs to be OFFICE-NETWORK instead of PTP-B

I tried running the wizard. Any type of IP pool I try to enter in the addresses to setup box, I get an invalid pool message. I am trying anything, such as 192.168.1.2-192.168.2.100.
