From winbox PPP > Interfaces > Double Click in a dynamic interface > Copy > Apply > OK

Before applying make sure you REMOVE the previos PPP Interface you are copying.

You can make every pppoe session Static. This way the graph will dissapear every time the client disconnect, but when he connects again you will see all the graphs as a simple queue client.

I'm having problems with the Queues.

After a few hours, Winbox doesn't show the simple queues or queue tree rules. If I print by Console, they are all there.

I've done it with Static PPPoE-Server for each user. This way the graphs doesn't dissapear every time the user logs in.

Is there any way to block PPPoE to make dynamic links and work only with static?

Chupaca, Im trying as you suggested to create a pppoe server for each user. Will this generate more/less/equal CPU usage? Now I see that the interface does not appear in simple queue list, but still gets limit. Does it make any difference at all? Where the limit is taking place if not in the queue? ...

I'm still having DNS problems. The service DNS seems to stop working. In tools > profile, seems right but the DNS cache list gets empty and stop caching and resolving host.

The only way to fix it is rebooting the RB1200.

The legend is: while reading ip address: could not get answer from dns server

I'm putting the dns cache back to 1024k, I had it at 10240k for more caching.

When I had the problem I tried flushing the dns cache in the rb1200. It gets empty and it doesn't take any more request so I continue without browsing...

I'm testing with my ISP DNS now, but if the DNS server is the problem shouldn't be solved by rebooting the rb1200.

I have problems with the dns server. This is the second time this week that my Mikrotik RouterOS 5.7 Core DNS stopped responding. I try ping google from console and I get IP DNS error or something like that. I reboot the rb1200 and works fine for a few more days. This never happened to me with OS 5....

I'm using RouterOS 5.6 but I am having the same issue. Almost 250 active ppp session and CPU usage is at 66% in the graphs.

The LAN interfaces is at 22mb. The CPU usage increase with more bandwidth.

I don't want broadcast storms problems. Thats was what I was looking for to when I migrated my Fixed IP networks to PPPoE.

I have a wisp with over 200 clients and it was becoming a problem.

It works great, but this will allow every client to communicate with each other, not only my admin IP.

Could I use scr-address with only my IP addres (192.168.201.1) to give access only my pc to every CPE on the network?

It doesnt change so often, but I asked support and told me that the IP can change if the have to move my hosting to another server. This things happend sometimes without the user even notice. I already tried both virtual and main interface as standard AP and its the same, the only way I can get a connection is by setting the ap as wds, dunno why either, maybe its and issue with the SR9, Im asking if anyone had the same problem or if it is a mistake in my config.

no, the Virtual IP is not WDS, the WDS Mode is set in disable. are you saying that if the main interface has WDS enable the virtual would have it as well? eitherway I also try erasing the Virtual and set the main as AP bridge with WDS disable and the same keeps happening, cant connect if is not WDS....

I need to buy a new RB for my WIPS, rb433 is the replacement for the rb333, but is really better? rb333 had a second co processor specially for network usage. are you talking about reverse the rule or the time?

the rule is drop TCP over 26 connections, syn. How can I reverse that rule?

and if I set the time from 1am to 8pm would drop in daytime not night time as I need.

no I think the tcp limit is set to low, as I said before any P2P software could easly establish 100 tcp connections and your rule is set to 10 connections and above.

I dont know much about it but the first rule allow only 1 tcp connection for the ips in your black list to prevent Denial of Service attacks with establish a lot of tcp connections to bring down the service the second rule add to your black list the ip of machines who attempt more than 10 connection...
