Telegram triggers DDOS? [SOLVED]

Hi, I'm currently using the following in my router CCR2004 (using RoS 7.3.1); /ip firewall filter add chain=forward connection-state=new action=jump jump-target=block-ddos add chain=forward connection-state=new src-address-list=ddoser dst-address-list=ddosed action=drop add chain=block-ddos dst-limi...

Re: Load Balance PCC math [SOLVED]

noted. thanks Sindy!

So for my 300:120, the lowest common denominator is 60 at a ratio of 5:2 which makes 7 split into 5 for WAN1 and 2 for WAN2.

Re: Load Balance PCC math [SOLVED]

I came across a load balancing calculator for PCC whereby if two WANs are connected, the PCC is not X + Y. There's a way to calculate a numerator of the split in bandwidth then to be applied to the denominator in the pcc mangle. I'll attach the screenshot. This page is useful but the script only all...

Load Balance PCC math [SOLVED]

Hi,

I have a question since all the stuff I've read about LB PCC math for 2 WAN is something like 20Mbps+10Mbps = 10+10+10.

Any suggestion on how to calculate 300M DL / 80M UL with a symmetrical 120/120M?

Can you advise how to use this with RoS7.2.3? I'm using CCR2004.

I've followed this https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/IKEv2_EA ... d_RouterOS

My VPN connection is working to Nord but my specific client traffic is not going thru there.

Re: Feature requests

There should be a page in WebFig to view the activity of a combination of ports (customizable), like the per port page. Screen Shot 2022-05-01 at 17.09.24.png I think this would be useful to see in one page visually (instead of the numbers in the interface page). e.g. combination of WANS, VLANs, an ...

2 WAN QoS to Local Network

Hi, I've recently gotten a second internet connection and I've succeed making my Queue Tree to manage the traffic, but it will only detect the bridge traffic (combined WAN1 and WAN2 download). Since I have WAN2 with faster download, if I set a limit to the download traffic based on WAN1 for safety, ...

Feature Request: Data usage

Hi, I know that there is an option to script the router to monitor traffic (DPI, etc), I found it a little complicated to setup. Also, it requires an external software to actually monitor the traffic like ntop. I think it would be very useful for people to have a very basic data usage graph for mete...

Thanks SiB. Just wanted to make sure it was possible. Otherwise, it would be annoying to add a power plug just for the LtAP on some form of beam to get it above my house. Are there examples of how to set it up?

CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+ port drops?

Hi, Recently got this switch as part of my network. Installed it (latest firmware both packages and routerboard) and noticed that it "crashes" after a couple of hours, certain devices drop from the network. At first, I thought it was the DHCP lease from my 4011 router but apparently it's i...

Switch port IP? [SOLVED]

Hi, Is there anyway to check the IP that a switch port is using/giving to the client without going to client side on winbox or terminal? I can check on the leases from the DHCP server but can't seem to figure out which one is using the actual port. So let's say ether10 is C4:AD:34:55:7F:AB but on th...

LtAP LTE kit + CCR1036 via CRS354-48P switch?

Hi,

I'm thinking of adding LtAP LTE kit as a failover to my existing network. However, I would like to power the LtAP using PoE. Since the PoE comes from my CRS354 switch, is there anyway I can still have the CCR1036 control the failover?

Hi, I'm very new to Mikrotik and I have yet to setup QoS on my CCR. Even with a connection this fast, if the queue...

Re: Advanced Routing Failover without Scripting

@Chupaka, this is great. Would it be correct to assume that if I were to have 3 recursive failovers, it would look like this based on your code above: /ip route add dst-address=Host1 gateway=GW1 scope=10 add dst-address=Host2 gateway=GW2 scope=10 add dst-address=Host3 gateway=GW3 scope=10 /ip route ...

Thanks @pe1chl. This seems more like a failover only solution instead of load-balancing + failover. If I misunderstood, can I add this to my existing settings? From reading it, I think it’s only the last part of the script I have to add.

Thanks again @mbovenka.

I think I’ll invest in the CCR1009 for longevity so that it can grow with me longer term if I scale up my network in the future. But it’s great to know that the RB4011 can answer a lot of needs and I might use it in a smaller scale setup.

Re: Which CCR? Need Advice / Recommendation [SOLVED]

Make the 10G uplink port on the 4011 a router-on-a-stick between the different VLANs (and internet), and you have 7.5Gbps of inter-VLAN and to-Internet routing, and your video editors and NAS can communicate at wire speed through the CRS. Thanks @mbovenka. Since this technically solves my problem, ...

Re: Which CCR? Need Advice / Recommendation [SOLVED]

Why you don't consider a smaller CCR, like 1009 plus a switch with all the SPF+ you need for server and clients? The 20 Gbps is only for LAN anyway. @LSan83, so the router will not affect the traffic of the switch of 10G (and/or above) traffic? If that’s the case, then I would definitely opt to get...
