Powerbox Pro DHCP issue

My ISP offers 5 DHCP leases, but my clients attached to the PowerBox do not pick up DHCP leases. * The clients pick up DHCP leases when attached to a basic D-Link switch attached to modem * The Powerbox Pro itself has no issues obtaining a DHCP lease * The configuration is deployed on multiple other...

Outdoor access point - What to buy?

I am trying to provide wireless internet for a few friends homes near mine (100m-150m). I have a 10ft pole on my roof, which is higher than all the other homes in the area. Attached right now is a WAP using the 2.4GHz band, but range is very lacking at around 20m from the house. I presume there is a...

Re: KNOT device GPS + LTE-M issues

What antenna are you currently using? I had some issues with my first antenna, now using a "generic" 2.4 GHz dipole SMA antenna without any issues. The last command you ran should return cell towers and the fact that it is not likely means your outside range, which a new antenna may help w...

Re: KNOT device GPS + LTE-M issues

1.) Your settings are correct for PPP. I have the same provider (1nce) and it is working. 2.) So far as I can tell, you cannot enable GPS while running the PPP interface. I think the init channel overlaps with the PPP interface. 3.) I've found that the initialization of the PPP interface can take ti...

You cannot click "info" while the interface is up - can you confirm the interface is down before clicking info?

Re: CRS125-24G-1S going offline

Thanks for your quick replies. I have confirmed there are no loops in the network and that running the command works.

Is this perhaps a bug in the CRS?

Re: CRS125-24G-1S going offline

ROS version 6.48.3 has default setting bridge-mode=rstp . And I guess that as with all handlers for protocols it might be buggy. And bug can be either in CRS or CSS. So you can verify SwOS versions on both your CSS devices, perhaps the working one is running different SwOS version than the one maki...

CRS125-24G-1S going offline

My CRS125-24G-1S switch is losing networking whenever I plug in my CSS106-5G-1S. It makes all devices on the network inaccessible and I cannot connect to WinBox to troubleshoot the issue. The device is still powered on and does not crash/reboot. * The only device(s) that go offline are devices direc...

Recently purchased a Mikrotik Knot for automation testing and cannot get the PPP setup working. I really only want to use this for SMS sending/receiving and would...

My ISP provides fibre to the home via GPON ONT SFP connected to a Hitron Modem. Re: CRS VLAN / Management IP

Thanks for the reply - however this is not working.

The reason for hardware offload is that the CRS cannot handle 1Gbps tagging/untagging without it. Adding a VLAN to the bridge, so far as I know, will cause all hardware offloading to be disabled.

Wireless interface not running / roaming

I have two wAP (one inside, one outside) and am wondering why when the first client connects there is a 5-10 second delay?

I presume this is because the wireless interface is not in an active state when no clients are connected, but this is causing issues with roaming between the two.

My ISP provides a symmetrical 1Gbps line and I am unable to utilize the full speed. Wireless bridge: no clients = interface offline

It seems that when there are no wireless clients connected to a WLAN interface, which is part of a bridge, that interface will be set to unavailable. This causes the first connecting client to have to wait for the interface in the bridge to come back, causing a DHCP request to take up to 15 seconds....

The router is setup as an AP only and all routing i...
