Re: PowerBOX Pro - 4 pair PoE IN

For those still wondering,

I have multiple (5+) PowerBox Pros running with Ubiquiti's 54V 65W and 55V 80W power supplies. Both supply 4-pair POE to the PowerBox. Loads are typically UBNT LTU Rockets and MikroTik 60GHz radios. They've been working for nearly a year without any issues.

Re: CRS - VLAN - Add untagged interfaces via script

Shorter and clearer: { /interface ethernet :local InterfaceList "" :local separator "" :foreach i,Interface in=[ find where default-name~"sfp*" ] do={ :set $InterfaceList "$InterfaceList$separator$[ get $Interface name ]" :if ($i = 0) do={ :set separator &quo...

Re: Newsletter June 2021 (#100)

I can see the point of PPPoE in WISP-networks with the air as a medium. PPPoE existed in the DSL-days in my country, but was only used by a few providers. For Cable/Ethernet/FTTH it's just plain DHCP. Not sure why you need an extra layer for authentication and encapsulation when you control the las...

Re: Newsletter June 2021 (#100)

The only product-space that Mikrotik excell is in Prosumer, small ISP and small/medium Enterprise. And no one there uses some fancy phone app to setup their network. The "app target market" will probably choose Google, D-Link, Asus, TP-Link or some generic Chinese white-label box with the...

Re: wap60g behaving weird

What frequency are the radios using? If you're using 58320, use something (anything) else.

I have the best luck on 64800 and 62640, but 60480 should also work.

Re: LHG 60G experience

This is of course not LHG 60G limited, I'm generally interested in any 60GHz experience. I lack the personal experience of how much co-location is possible. Your post has been very convincing and put a lot of hope - those radios "1m apart" you mention, are they pointing in the same direct...

Re: LHG 60G experience

Went out to the AP side of a site thats doing multipoint, spread is about 10 degrees between the 2 SM's. Distance is ~170m and ~340m respectively All of them are LHG 60G Found it was a little bit out of alignment, slightly up (about 3 degrees) and slightly too much right, but nothing crazy. Despite...

Re: 60GHz radios no likey (Re: v6.47 [stable] is released!)

Quick warning before putting 6.47 on 60GHz radios! I loaded 6.47 on my 60GHz gear (wap60g, LHG, Cube's) and, with frequency 58320 (and region USA) selected, the links began to bounce all over the place. We are seeing the same issue and rolling back all our 6.47 deployments. We did about 100 antenna...

60GHz radios no likey (Re: v6.47 [stable] is released!)

I loaded 6.47 on my 60GHz gear (wap60g, LHG, Cube's) and, with frequency 58320 (and region USA) selected, the links began to bounce all over the place. Link counts on some CPE were in the hundreds (222, 256, 524, and 999) over the weekend. I thought...

Re: LHG 60G experience

Hey guys been running 60GLHGG for about 7 months now ....not very stable when it rains but runs well otherwise. The link is 3KM long so it is a bit far. I loaded 6.47rc2 yesterday and the link kept dropping nothing changed on the link just the software. Question is I know they changed something on ...
