Re: Slow proxy

This is a list of my firewall rules. Do you think they would affect the performance of the proxy?

I am using a CF to cache, I have however changed it to "system" to test if that is where the bottle-neck is.

Re: Slow proxy

It seems that everything is slow. I use the proxy mainly to limit staffs internet usage by blocking specific hosts (i.e facebook). Is there a more efficient/quicker way of doing this without slowing the traffic down?

Slow proxy

Hi there

I have a RB532 running 2.9.49 with no issues hence the lack of upgrading.

I have however over the past few weeks noticed that when browsing internet on a PC configured to use the proxy it is terribly slow.

Any reason for this? Or anyone have a solution?

I got it to work. I created an address list with the IP range of the IPs needing to be redirected to the proxy. The created an NAT rule using the address list.

Proxy question

When running a hotspot and a normal network of the same RB how do you config the proxy? I want the hotsot to have full access to the net but the other network I want to limit using the proxy. Would you change the NAT rule so as to only redirect IP addresses on the local network (not hotspot) to the ...

Re: Routerboard Problem - please Help

Maybe you must make sure your jumper, is the jumper is set to enable PoE or Not? or check the power jumper and according with your power adaptor used.

thanks,
These new routerboards you do not need to change the jumber for PoE

Re: Routerboard Problem - please Help

It sems the problem migh be caused by power surges and not the factory fault many are refering to. I will install a surge protector and see if this solves the issue.

Please let me know if anyone else has the same response from a power surege.

Not to sure if this problem has been documented before. I am running a RB532 with an MT-R52 wireless card with a PoE injector. Web proxy question - please help

we run a RD532 with RouterOS as a transparent proxy. Is it possible to block all proxying sites (i.e. proxify.com) using some sort of rule? Maybe in the "path" aspect of the rule add /proxy or any other common sting in proxying sites URLs?

Re: User Manager Feature request - sticky please?

Is it just me or are there others that think these values should be used the other way around? The uptime-limit should define the time frame to utilize ones credit-limit.

Please correct me if I am wrong :?

Re: User Manager - Uptime Limit

So the uptime-limit is the time frame the user has to use his/her credit-limit ? Re: scripting support for dyndns.org?

I had this problem too, untill i discovered http://www.changeip.com

This works just as well and you do not need a windows machine.

Check wiki and posts by user changeip for the scripts.

Hope this helps.
Thanks for the help, but is this not the same service that dyndns.org offers?

Re: modify proxy rule using script

add comment to rule, for example myRule.
After that you must use find to get correct internal number.
/ip proxy access disable [ /ip proxy access find comment="myRule" ] ;

Thanks, works like a charm

Re: modify proxy rule using script

Ok so did a bit of searching and came up with this:
{ip proxy access}{print}{disable 8}
ok, so this will disable a specific (number 8 ) proxy rule.

only problem is, it works in the terminal but not if I use the script repository.

Please someone help!!
