Re: Forward ALL ports to router

I hit some VPN issues this morning for the first time with a client which is what made me dig a bit deeper. My public IP shows at 213.xxx but if I run a tracert I can see several 10.124 addresses. Could be both CGNAT and a bad setup on the MIkrotik, I have asked the carrier if they will assign me a ...

Re: Forward ALL ports to router

Ok it looks like all my Mikrotik config issue is fine, the issue I am hitting is CGNAT from what I can tell!

Re: Forward ALL ports to router

You can configure the LTE apn profile into "passthrough" mode, which will make the Mikrotik device act as a dhcp server assigning the IP address assigned by the mobile provider further to the Draytek. But then the DDNS update must be done by the Vigor itself as the LTE router has no acces...

Re: Forward ALL ports to router

Thank you both, I will digest this and try and work it out, I believe the single NAT rule might be the answer I am looking for.

Yes the LTE is assigned a public IP and this does appear to be correctly resolving via the DDNS. The vigor is able to retrieve the public IP from the LTE and publish this.

Re: Forward ALL ports to router

You are not the only one, thank you for taking the time to reply. Right now I have [URL] -> [A RECORD] -> Static IP -> Fibre Line -> DrayTek WAN1 -> routes to server ip based on port. The servers are routed specifically through WAN1 in both directions. As well as all other traffic [Person] -> Wifi -...

Forward ALL ports to router

Hi All, I have a. bit of a funky setup and I am trying to get dynamic DNS running, honestly I know "bits" of this stuff and it always gives me a headache I have a DrayTek vigor 2862 which I have got set up with their dynamic DNS service all fine and routing through the mikrotik, however I ...

Re: Help configure SXT LTE6 as passthrough modem

I would run a second cable to be honest, it will save a huge headache in the long run.

Re: Help configure SXT LTE6 as passthrough modem

I got mine to work but I can’t even remember the steps I took now! I know it was particular about the order things were done in. At the end of the day it’s easy to factory reset if you do remove something wrong. Just backup the config before you start

Re: Help configure SXT LTE6 as passthrough modem

Ok seems like I have looped back around to a DNS issue. My MAC is having some correctly assigned, but the iPhones are getting ones which do not work. If I manually add 8.8.8.8 for example, then they behave. Cracked it by setting the DNS on the Draytek to googles, I think it was mixing up my 4G and D...

Re: Help configure SXT LTE6 as passthrough modem

Ok I am getting somewhere now thank you, I think I was missing the correct IP settings on the Draytek. My laptop now will work, but no other devices will connect through the Mikrotik, is this a MAC address issue that someone else mentioned, that they have to manually set the MAC address of the WAN2 ...

Re: Help configure SXT LTE6 as passthrough modem

Maybe easier for start is just setup SXTR without bridge, means Ether1 as power + mgmt but Ether2 as Passthrough interface itself. Drayter or whatever device should not have any IP like 192.168.88.x at all, Draytek at WAN2 port should have only dhcp client running and receive internet directly from...

Re: Help configure SXT LTE6 as passthrough modem

SXTR have two ports, they can be separated, bonding, bridged and have vlans-s on it.... I not know what you do. Draytek as WAN2 must have a dhcp client on it and be connected directly else you must provide it mac-address. Works me and my setup. Show your setup Hi @SiB, Thank you I am just about to ...

Re: Help configure SXT LTE6 as passthrough modem

I have tried and tried and tried to get this to work but I can't find the right config. I am running my SXTR into a Draytek WAN2 port. At the moment it is all working OK, except that I manually have to add the Mikrotik router IP as a DNS address to any device on the network, otherwise it doesn't wor...
