mPCI cards in Routerboard

Will RT2561ST A/B/G chipset mPCI cards work in a Routerboard 311 ?
Is Mikrotik OS ONLY for Atheros chipset based radios ?

Re: Gigabyte MiniPCI card doesn't work

The GN-WI01GS is an A/B/G 54 meg card
in supported hardware it says a GN-WI01GT is supported. Thats an B/G card
I wonder if thats the problem ?
It not an Althros chip. It is an RT2561ST

Re: Gigabyte MiniPCI card doesn't work

Mmmm... I have 6 brand new ones and none will show up under interfaces in winbox. I have tried them in 2 different RB133 boards.
I must have got a bad batch. Strange.

Congratulations on this great job ! As a ham radio operator, and builder of ATV repeaters, I know how hard it is on those frequences ! Very impressive ! Keep us updated on progress and please publish specs on antenna dish.
Thanks,

I need to study more and at my age (60) it is sometimes hard to grasp a new idea. BTW I am the author for the .pl and cfg scripts that are on Smartbridges site. I ha...
