Juding by the changelog length I would say that they put by far more effort into the 6.x than into 7.x. That's okay as 7.x is just in development and nobody should use it for production purposes anyway. People with devices like Chateau12 are just trapped. Nice wish - but won't ever happen IMHO. We can be lucky - very very lucky- should v7 ever reach stable-status. So I guess the API has not the highest priority. And I am 100% sure that Mikrotik would not see any benefit of a GQL API anyway ^^

chateau with its beta-only firmware is quite unstable. I paid 200€ for some "experimental kit". the slow progress they make on v7 (according to their feature roadmap for v7), I cant see a stable release before 2022. It is really sad.

I had identical issue with LTE18 router with default configuration by LMT technician. In my case the ssh sessions started working when SSH client is started with -o IPQoS=0 option. v7.1b2 is so unstable, I'm considering returning the whole device. Selling hardware with software that is not capable of the even most basic operations - holy moly. Every trunk-image of Openwrt has been more stable in the past.
