Re: Long Term release or new functions?

I would assume that maintaining a LTS branch, backporting just fixes (bug/security) from stable means quite some effort for MT developers right now, still adding features and look at the long changelogs. Seems like they still keep focus improving the product until the reach a point where they can &q...

Ancient devices could still be covered by v6. SMIPS devices like hap lite don't even run reliably on v7 even though compatible. And there may be many others too. But would mean for MT to maintain two major versions.

reselect interval you define lower and upper bounds of interval. e.g. 30m / 1h. So earliest every 30m and latest every hour they perform reselect scan. Then each AP randomly picks a value between 30m-1h, e.g. AP1: 41m30s, AP2: 32m34s, AP3: 50m10s. So they don't scan simultaneously and choose the sam...

Re: RB5009 performance issue

Dearr GolemPL, ObliteRon has a 1.2gbit ISP connection and until some point was able to fully utilize the given bandwidth. No need to comment here, that this RB is not capable of 2.5gbit/s. It adds nothing to the issue resolution.

On channel-width=20mhz on 2ghz this means: hap ac2 is dual chain = 144mbit maximum datarate with a 2x2 client. With old driver you can expect half of that in reality. So 75mbit/s roundabout.

If you plan to use your CCR1036-8G-2S+ as a capsman for your AX devices, you at least need ROS 7.13 for "wifi" menu. Then on your AX caps you need ROS 7.13+ with "wifi-qcom" package installed.

It's irrelevant if You consider this a good or bad development policy: it is what it is. Just now the iPad started asking for the Wifi password which it does know. Did not reconnect until I restarted the 5009. Also my Galaxy A52 had a run of SA Query Timeouts earlier today. rc2 already. Release of 7.15 may be 1 or maximum of 2 weeks ahead. The urge to release is enormous and overweights the support desk overload after going public with 7.15.😐

If being asked I would say they will release despite all these wifi issue reports here. But MT can prove me wrong. 😉

Well, then you should contact support@mikrotik.com additionally. It's OK to ask community here for experiences, but to really resolve the issue its better to contact MT or the distributor where you buy your devices from.

Re: cAP ax PoE-out to 802.3af Mode-A?

MikroTik documentation (https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/PoE-Out) states:
MikroTik uses RJ45 mode B pinout for power distribution
The datasheet of your DoorBird says:
PoE 802.3af Mode-A, 10/100 Base-T
Conclusion: you can't power this device with your Mikrotik cAP AX.
