Re: v6.48.5 [long-term] is released!

How does MIkrotik test releases? I mean, lets see the academic explaination what long-term channel actually means for Mikrotik. For many people, longterm means: most battletestes. most stable. mostly bugfree. So to say a "rock solid" release. But then you realize, Mikrotik just shift over ...

It is so frustrating. About 8d uptime and then suddenly Chateau12 locks up completely. Just a gentle powercycle helps. No autosupout.rif, nothing in logs. Though 7.1rc2 with enabled CAKE does not instantaneously cause a kernel panic - it is too early to judge it. I had CAKE enabled in one of the previous betas where like I had no kernel panic in a day. Then suddenly every 30 minutes. So guys, keep an eye on your devices. ;)

23dBm / 2 chain = Max 20dBm for chain (yes 20, is logaritmic)
That's one thing I do not understand.

As far I understood: when the hardware antenna-gain is 4dbi - it should be able to transmit at 23 (max allowed) - 4 (antenna gain) = 19dbm transmit-power. Not 17dbm. Or isn't it that easy?

I had reboots every few hours as well, caused by cake simple queue. After disabling that, reboots happend only once a day. Then only netinstall finally resolved it and the device is rock stable right now (10d+ uptime)

I guess you should report that to mikrotik support.

Re: v7.1beta2 [development] is released!

I don't get Mikrotik. They just released "6.48beta58 (2020-Nov-24 08:31)" and "6.47.8 (2020-Nov-25 10:10)". While it is perfectly fine to work on STABLE releases - as people depend on it on their PRODUCTION devices. But honestly - who cares for 6.48beta58? That's a REAL beta chan...

Re: LTE - Fasttrack = low speed internet over WiFi (Chateau 12)

chateau with its beta-only firmware is quite unstable. I paid 200€ for some "experimental kit". the slow progress they make on v7 (according to their feature roadmap for v7), I cant see a stable release before 2022. It is really sad.

Re: HAP AC^2 wifi clients stuck obtaining IP address

Of course there are warnings about instability and alpha-quality routeros everywhere on the product page...wait, there is not a single hint. https://mikrotik.com/product/chateau_lte12 I was aware that the device launched somewhen this year May or so, and has still a v7beta on it - but I assumed they...

Re: SSH connection issues with "fasttrack" switched off. [SOLVED]

I had identical issue with LTE18 router with default configuration by LMT technician. In my case the ssh sessions started working when SSH client is started with -o IPQoS=0 option. I've disabled the IPQoS in /etc/ssh_config for now. Thanks for this valuable workaround! A downgrade to even 7.0beta7 ...

Re: v7.1beta2 [development] is released!

Thank you for the patient answer. I am still new to the Mikrotik universe (< 1 week) and I still not discovered all wiki and stuff yet. It just confused me, as I pressed the "Upgrade"-Button on that page - but nothing happened and after refreshing the page still the same information was di...

Is this just wrong information or can there be a difference between routeros version and routerboard version?

Thanks! I did not assume that they have "unprotected" Download-Links where I can simply modify the file-name and e.g. guess for the version! Works indeed!

Re: SSH connection issues with "fasttrack" switched off. [SOLVED]

when to expect beta3 to be available?
When they squash the bug which prevents 7.1beta3 from booting on CCR (presumably 1xxx, TILE-based) devices.
From reading the forum it looks like they are hunting this bug for quite some weeks now. Must be a sneaky one...

Re: HAP AC^2 wifi clients stuck obtaining IP address

v7.1b2 is so unstable, I'm considering returning the whole device. Selling hardware with software that is not capable of the even most basic operations - holy moly. Every trunk-image of Openwrt has been more stable in the past.

Same issue here on the Chateau LTE12 with 7.1beta2. 2days and a few hours up, and my macbookpro does not receive a lease anymore.

Re: v7.1beta2 [development] is released!

Run a /export and save it. Use netinstall to install the router with 6.47.7 and restore the backup you made before you went to v7 beta. Then use the /export to review any changes you made after going to the beta and that you now want to apply to your 6.47.7 install. I own the Chateau LTE12. I would...

Re: v7.1beta2 [development] is released!

Currently we are having issues with beta3 booting on TILE architecture. Beta3 will be available when we get these issues sorted out.
Is it possible to downgrade? I have that SSH issue on 7.1beta2 and beta3 after xmas is too late for me.

This fix will be included also in the RotuerOS v7.1beta3.
Workaround or when to expect beta3 to be available?

v7.1beta2 here on a Chateau LTE12. Can't connect with "ssh" to any ssh-server. scp some file to a remote server works.

I have similar issue on my Chateau C12 LTE. After latest ROS v7.1beta1, I cannot connect to my SSH server. Always get following error: packet_write_wait: Connection to x.x.x.x port 22: Broken pipe I do not see any dropped packets in log UPDATE It is an issue with fasttrack vs normal firewall proces...
