Re: Something will makes me crazy with tool/netwatch

Use watchdog timer with watch address instead of netwatch. https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:System/Watchdog watch-address (IP; Default: none) The system will reboot, in case 6 sequential pings to the given IP address will fail. If set to none this feature is disabled. By default router will re...

Re: Disable or Enable any item in mikrotik by using Terminal

You was in the wrong menu. Lists can only be added or removed, but members can be disable. Sometimes the flow between Winbox and CLI can be seeming backwards... interface list member set [find list=POE] disabled=yes THANKS A LOT ....But POE actually is an ethernet ( member of list ) but not a list ...

Re: How to make MikroTik beep sound if the internet stop suddenly?

Yes, you need netwatch rule. The netwatch can ping some address you know will always be working, like your ISP homepage.
There is a documentation manual you should read: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Tools/Netwatch
THANKS A LOT

Re: How to connect the ether to a running ISP automatically?

In my setup: Route distances 10 and above are only there to still try to connect , even if 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 would be down, but the rest of internet is up. = fallback Route distances above 20 are DHCP set routes (when the local gateways are replaced with devices with other addresses) = fallback o...

Re: How to connect the ether to a running ISP automatically?

The simplest script for failover I know, (for outgoing connections only) is just setting a different route distance for the default route for both ISP. If you get an IP address by DHCP from the ISP or from the modem, you can set the default route distance in the DHCP client of the interface. The ad...

Re: How to connect the ether to a running ISP automatically?

You should put all your hardware in private subnet, configure two ISPs and script a simple failover for them (you will find a lot of examples how to do it) In this case, your machines will always have the same addressess (local subnet) and will not even know that you have changed ISP. Not to mentio...

Re: How to connect the ether to a running ISP automatically?

Google "Mikrotik Multiple ISP routing" and you will find a number of solutions... except, I dont think that any of them will bridge your private network to ISP (that is not ussual way to do it) but rather route your private subnet to different ISP. regards thank you very much ..You mean t...

Re: inquiry about wireless values

They indicate spatial stream count and if short guard interval or long guard interval is used. Which together with other factors like signal strength, channel width, and noise in your environment will affect at what rate the devices will operate - which MCS can be used. Note that the rate will incr...
