To be clear you want your PC behind the router which is behind the LIMITING ISP to reach some other location via Wireguard? If so what are you connecting too? A third party VPN provider or your own MT Remote Router somewhere else ?? YESSS! Fasttrack and mangle rules don't go together. Simple soluti...

Re: Slow wlan and high CPU usage on hAP lite [SOLVED]

Thank you This conversation helped me solve part of the problem and understand why the other part is not solvable. The part which is solved is reaching the maximum overall bandwidth. And the part which is not solved was bounces in download speed which is due to shared medium (air) used for communica...

Re: Slow wlan and high CPU usage on hAP lite [SOLVED]

Thanks. Actually it's me that must thank you. What is the source of those red spots and yellow fields. (Clean area should be black with some blue)? That's the question. And how much, or what more, of that will be picked up by the laptop? Does it disappear if some devices are switched off ??? Take a...

Re: Slow wlan and high CPU usage on hAP lite [SOLVED]

Thanks for devoting your precious time to me. Lets go back to the wifi problem. (there is better information in the hAP Lite , in the wireless table, under registration. You might need to make some columns wider (RX rate, TX rate) and add some columns : TX/RX signal strength, TX/RX CCQ, Here's the o...

Re: Slow wlan and high CPU usage on hAP lite [SOLVED]

Ok, solved the problem with high CPU usage by downgrading firmware and ROS to latest LTS version which is 6.46.8. But the problem with wlan still exists. Down speed goes up and down, seems like it's buffering incoming data and when it reaches a defined threshold, it transmits them all. I just change...

Slow wlan and high CPU usage on hAP lite [SOLVED]

I just bought hAP lite and configured it to work with my LHG 5 which works as internet router. Before buying this new router, I was using my old VDSL router to connect wireless devices to LHG 5 and it was working as expected. But this new hAP lite tc sometimes is really slow when using wireless and ...

Re: Routing traffic for specified domains to a different gateway [SOLVED]

Just created a mangle rule:
chain=prerouting action=add-dst-to-address-list address-list=youtube address-list-timeout=none-dynamic content=googlevideo.com
It works and can route requests to googlevideo.com to RasperryPi but the problem is sometimes it takes more than 30 seconds to load the video.

Re: Routing traffic for specified domains to a different gateway [SOLVED]

Domain names in the access_list are resolved to IPs, I presume, at which time point does it happen? Is it re-checked periodically? What I want to do is bypassing block on Youtube. Google uses multiple domains for youtube website which are predictable and known, but actual videos are served on googl...

Routing traffic for specified domains to a different gateway [SOLVED]

Today I was working on running OVPN client on my router so I can route request to visit some special websites to my openvpn provider, then I figured out that OVPN client does not support UDP and SHA512 on routerOS, therefore I had to run ovpn client on a raspberry pi. Now all I need is routing a lis...

Re: Setting to NOT connect automatically on boot

You can set the interface in question to disabled=yes ... this will disable the interface immediately, but will stay disabled after reboot ... until you manually enable it again. Just make sure you don't disable interface you need for management access ... Hi mkx, This is not what I'm looking for. ...

Re: LHG HP5 benefits over LHG 5 [SOLVED]

You can achieve more signal, but only 1km on an LHG (HP or not) is way too powerful. you'll need to reduce tx-power on both sides or purposely mis-align the dish to not get too much signal. just make sure you stay out of the 30s. you'll likely run into issues with this much signal. Hi jonah and tha...

Re: LHG HP5 benefits over LHG 5 [SOLVED]

In this case, size would only help if your distance would exceed what the SXT can do (due to it's smaller antenna). In my opinion, 1km is not a big distance and SXT will give you roughly the same speed as any larger devices. Their size basically just gives you more reach, but you are not far Thanks...
