I see 2 wrong things in RouterOS 7.14.2 (and probably in complete 7.x trail): 1) Memory leakage the most probably related to Queue Tree implementation (fq-codel) and 2) Missing packets properly marked in Queue Tree hierarchical QoS. See picture. Registered under SUP-147911.
We do not delay beta releases and wait for "everything to be ready" before the release. Otherwise, the first beta should be rc1 right away. Package size issue is being addressed! Please wait for the rc releases at least. There is no need for flooding this topic just regarding this issue. ...
I don't know what is happening with MikroTik. We are screaming here that for 15.3 MiB Flash memory devices is not possible to use existing RouterOS images or simply you can not make reboot if flash memory goes to 0 . And the result of next release - just bigger Flash ROM image :-) Well, RIP MikroTi...

Update to 7.15beta8 fails on wAP AC with error: upgrade failed, free 133kB disk space for a(null)upgrade Even if MT has reduced size on latest version, your older version are to big to upgrade. Netinstall may be the only way out. MikroTik definitely not reduced size of RouterOS + Qualcomm WiFi Driv...

I don know the SW architecture RouterOS, If RouterOS can strictly run in memory space (what is not a case now) - it could be fine even with 0kB HDD space. But any write I/O operation simply damage the source.
Poll won't happen. Only unhappy people visit the forum. The majority is happy. No need to trim down package size. The happy people are going to install/upgrade ROS on a HAP AC2 successfully and only the pessimist ones are going to face "0 free bytes" problems. It's a state of mind - not a...
Good joke, this release add 200kb+ to main package. It is absolutely not possible to use with devices with 15,3 MiB HDD. hAP ac^2 in my case. I don't think so... I wonder what packages you have installed... It is not a joke. I am using standard setup with routeros.npk + wifi-qcom-ac.npk. You are us...
Good joke, this release add 200kb+ to main package. It is absolutely not possible to use with devices with 15,3 MiB HDD. hAP ac^2 in my case. I am really curious why it is so important to put NAS features to main package for the routers? I have SYNOLOGY for those features. It is insane! Thumb down!
I am able to achieve a maximum of 464K free HDD space with a clean netinstall and no configuration except for the default scripts. When I stripped the configuration (advanced QoS removal), I'm able to live with 350-400K free HDD. But anything close to 1MB is absolutely unattainable. It's a pity that...
Sorry guys, it become less and less useful due to size of basic packages. I have made pure netinstall with netinstall 7.14beta9 with saving configuration and after that only 140 kB was left !!! See pictures.
Which part of is unclear? I specifically quoted the part that is unclear. You posted a link to an articles that talks specifically about a TCP end-point optimization to prove your point that the kernel on routers absolutely must be upgraded. How does one relate to the other? It is definitely not re...
I am with 7.14beta4 for 6 days now and there must be still any memory leak(-s). I have started with 150 MiB free memory and now I am bellow 100 Mib. Quite easy configuration with PPPoE xDSL, DHCP, DNS, WiFi, dualstack IPv6&4, BackToHome VPN and WireGuard but with QoS mangle marking and hierarchi...
I am running 7.13 Beta 2 WiFi Wave 2 on hAP ac^2 and performance is excellent. One small issue I am facing, is the fact Intel WiFi AC 3165 is able to connect only as WPA-Personal (not WPA2-Personal) with AES (CCMP). If I disable WPA (WPA2 and WPA3 allowed) this card is not able to connect. Intel dri...
I have tried RC5 on hAP ac^2 256MB and works fine. Regarding DNS definitely better performance, but very rarely (really very rarely) there is strange high cache DNS latency on directly connected (wire or wireless) device. Checked by DNS Check. I have curious question, is DNS process priority and run...
We managed to figure out what are those "0.0.0.0" entries in DNS cache. First of all - 0.0.0.0 is not an IP address. That is just a WinBox visual interpretation of "empty" value. These entries in cache that does not have a type, data and flags are "unknown type entries"...
We have received several reports about issues with the DNS cache in v7.7rc but so far none of them have had some precise examples. Please, if someone can reproduce the problem with the DNS cache, then provide step-by-step instructions on how you manage to see the problem. At the moment we are not a...

IPv6 over VDSL2 PPPoE with VLAN 848 (MTU > 1500) doesn´t work, unfortunately - hAP ac^2. No any active IPv6 connection. It is working fine on 6.49, but not on 7.1 RC5. When i enable IPv6 my CRS326 looses all connections and is unreachable after about 3hours45min. There is no problem if I disable IPv6. The only thing that might be related to the 3:45 time is the lease time for the dhcp prefix I receive. I think this is the relevant config: /interface vlan add inte...
Sit75 write: I have had the same issue on hAP ac^2. Due to I have raised ticket and there was good news today - people from Mikrotik were able to reproduce it and fix should be available in RC5. In addition, I am using MTU = 1500, so PPPoE +8. You read post #35 from osc86? : have you set use-ipv6=y...
IPv6 no longer appears to work over PPPoE after updating to v7.*. Works fine on v6.* though. Must set the use IPv6 flag in the PPP Profile, also if you enabled default route in the PPPoE login, do not set it in dhcpv6-client. IPv6 actually works but I also had many problems after migration from v6....
IPv6 still not propagated towards PPP. It seems clearly, there is a problem in IPv6 FW queues. I have raised ticket SUP-58192, but no any response till now....
Gents, I appreciate it. It is first version of V7 Branch, I can use on hAP ac^2 (256MB RAM) in my home network installation for long time without issues. Good job!
One error found - IPv6 doesn't work unfortunately.

Sit75 could you please elaborate on what went wrong while running 6.49beta44? If there are any autosupout.rif files, please share them with support. The issue causing crashes should be resolved, but in case anyone is still experiencing instability please contact support with details and supout.rif ...
