i have similar problems and the solution was a 6 core AMD cpu amd a Realtek base card 10/100/1000, this machine have 3000 users and 60 nodes behind without problems. I´m using webproxy, queue, firewall. ( ver 4.16)

I solve this using the rb 1100 has a gigaswitch and the queue, conntrack and firewall rules with a X86 server with 2 giganics, the 1100 cpu can´t handle all the traffic.

I change my RB532 for RB 333 and all my clients with realtek 8181 (Jath, micronet, edimax) ramdomsly crash and start to connect, disconnect, and i have the same problem with long links (30km) with realtek 8186, this only in v3 with v2.9.50 no problems, any solutions?
