Re: Hairpin NAT - the easy way

Thanks for the guide/tutorial.

As https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Hairpin_NAT is just returning an Error (well for me it is), this post has become the de facto guide on the topic :)

Re: v7.1rc4 [development] is released!

This has been broken for a while. Have you raised a support ticket? I raised one a few weeks ago, perhaps if you raise one it might bump it up the priority queue. export not work routing-mark= *4000 instead of mytable /routing table add disabled=no name=mytable /ip firewall nat add action=log chain=...

Re: PLEASE MikroTik made NetInstall version for Docker....

I started to play around with this a few weeks ago, but I didn't get that far. I've recently gave it another go and I've committed what I've got so far to Github and Docker Hub (https://github.com/Easen/mikrotik-netinstall & https://hub.docker.com/r/easen/mikrotik-netinstall). However I am strug...

Re: v7.1rc3 [development] is released!

Model: RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD
RouterOS Version: 7.1rc3

After running 7.1rc3 for 10 minutes, if I restart the router it loses it's configuration. I have opened a support ticket SUP-59875.

This bug has been present since 7.1beta4 (this is when I switched from stable to the development channel).

Re: v7.1rc2 [development] is released!

Had the same issue upgrading from rc1 -> rc2 Seemed to destroy prior config (on boot?) When trying to reset to defaults, /system/default-configuration/print shows no script under script. Only caps-mode script present. Going to try a clean netinstall to see if i get same results Edit: device is a RB...

Re: v7.1rc2 [development] is released!

Easy! The config is corrupt and is cleared on reboot. It would probably have happend when you had only rebooted. It is still happening in some cases in v7. When you want to be sure, reboot before trying to update. Then you know if it is caused by the previous version or by the updating. Had the sam...

Re: Configuration resets after reboot due to routing-mark settings (v7.1 beta5 & beta6

I’m stilling have this issue on the latest 7.1RC1, I’ve had to go back to latest stable v6 — however I do need WireGuard, as it has now become a critical part of network sent up. While rebooting my router into Etherboot (to netinstall v6) I noticed the boot device has a “flash-boot-once-then-nand” ....

Re: Configuration resets after reboot due to routing-mark settings (v7.1 beta5 & beta6

Did you create the new routing table named "TEST" before using that to mark-routing? Yes. I’ve been experimenting today and I can’t replicate it. I’ve managed to restore my old config (which is a partial config - doesn’t include certificates, users, secrets, routing-marks, etc.) and then ...

Re: Configuration resets after reboot due to routing-mark settings (v7.1 beta5 & beta6

I've tried to replicate this using a RB750Gr3, but unfortunately I can't. However, this is what the corrupted routing-mark looks like in an export /ip firewall filter add action=fasttrack-connection chain=forward comment=Test connection-state=\ established, related hw-offload=yes routing-mark=*4000&q...

Configuration resets after reboot due to routing-mark settings (v7.1 beta5 & beta6

Version number: 7.1 beta5 & beta 6. Router's model: RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD Steps to reproduce the issue: 1. Create a NAT/Mangle rule that adds a new routing mark 2. Reboot router 3. Router will start up with no configuration Configuration export (use '/export hide-sensitive' command): I can share ...

Re: v7.1beta6 [development] is released!

Anyone else having an issue here with v7.1beta6 and the hap ac^2, where on power loss all configuration is lost? Thankyou This means the flash filesystem somehow got corrupted. Re-install with netinstall and use the format option. Hi, so I reformatted using Netinstall at this dev version - same iss...

Anyone else having an issue here with v7.1beta6 and the hap ac^2, where on power loss all configuration is lost? Thankyou Yes I had the same issue on my RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD. Re: Router crashes are wiping the config

The main reason why I used that script was to inform me whenever there’s a new update, it also has the ability to auto update your router (which is the bulk of that script). However I am quickly learning you shouldn’t do this with the RouterOS 7 beta’s, as I suspect MikroTik call these betas because...

Re: Router crashes are wiping the config

I think I may have found the root cause after a series of netinstalls and slow re-adding my configuration. I believe RouterOS 7 isn't compatible with this script https://github.com/beeyev/Mikrotik-RouterOS-automatic-backup-and-update/blob/master/BackupAndUpdate.rsc, I haven't worked out if it's the ...

Re: Router crashes are wiping the config

Oh cool I'll try that, saves me going down the Bootcamp option. I suspect you're right, it's one line of bad config that it can't get past when it boots, which basically puts it in an unloaded/empty state, the problem is which config is it! Last night it happened again once I upgraded to the new bet...

Router crashes are wiping the config

Hi, Router: RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD Revision: r2 RouterOS: 7.1beta5 Recently I unplugged my RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD and when I powered it back on the configuration was gone. I am fairly diligent about backups and I take a backup before I make any configuration change, but I couldn't restore from any of them...

Please read the reply above your posting (#65) OpenVPN in RouterOS is not the standard application that you just have to download every couple months to track what the world is doing. For better (but not complete) OpenVPN see the v7 beta. Of course with the note that it is a beta. Yes I did read yo...

Re: OpenVPN SHA256 + UDP

+1 for SHA256 support. Let me start by saying I am fairly new to the Mikrotik eco-system and the lack of SHA256 does seem to be odd in 2021. I am also a bit shocked that this thread has been around for nearly 4 years. Wow... At first read I thought the hold up might be due to the US's exporting of e...
