Re: Firmware upgrades

What device do you have?
It is a big step to jump but should be fine I think.
If you can partition your device then rollback will be simple.
It's Mikrotik RB2011UiAS

Re: mDNS repeater feature

Ever home user needs mDNS. I am a home user and do not need it. Why is your assumption so absolute? It is absolute-ly false. My 4,000 contracts (home and business), corresponding to more than 16,000 people, do not have it and no one has ever complained about it. Please explain which critical part o...

Re: Limit bandwith per ip in vlan

@sindy I would be glad just for simplest solution. Its not big complicated network. Just building with few apartments. They get address from DHCP pool in vlan with MAC binding on their router WAN port. I need to give different tenants different speed, thats why i tried to do simple dedicated queue. ...

Limit bandwith per ip in vlan

Hi, Need to limit internet speed per ip in vlan. Using simple queue for that. It only works to limit internet speed for whole vlan. But not specific IP in that vlan. [admin@MKTK-RYBNA] /queue simple> print Flags: X - disabled, I - invalid, D - dynamic 0 name="internet_limit" target=10.0.0....

Re: Not working internet on vlan, cannot ping gw

@sindy

Oh i didnt know it automatically assign /32 CIDR, thought its /24 all the time.

@anav

The FW rule was there only for logging traffic and debugging reasons it will not be active.

There is L2 switch on the end of ether3 port where i need to have LAN and vlan traffic aswell.

Re: Not working internet on vlan, cannot ping gw

Two points:

/interface vlan set [find interface=ether3] interface=rybna_lan

/ip address set [find interface=VLAN-BYTY] address=10.0.0.1/24
Hi, it helped.

Can you please just explain what it exactly did or what was wrong?

Thanks,

Re: Mikrotik Dual WAN Failover

@anav 1.) Oh i didnt know i can just assign address and it will act as WAN interface. Still new to mikrotik but that kind of fixed all my issues. Thanks 2.) Its just connected to L3 switch which have assigned vlans on specific ports. 3.) They are in use on the switch - access points, which broadcast...
