Re: Feature Request: IPv6 NAT66 Support

I agree, NETMAP is a very useful tool. Its available in the linux kernel and some people could find it helpful. Please do not deflect the subject saying that NAT is an insult and that it does not exist in IPv6. We have lots of not-so-important tools implemented in RouterOS just in case, this can be ...

Re: Req: Tips for improving NAT performance on CCR1036

I'm trying to create a home brew Carrier Grade NAT configuration with Mikrotik acording to RFC6888. Creating a NAT preallocated set of rules allows the ISP to maintain a tracking of the customers using the RFC6598 address space. Otherwise we need to create a full logging of the flows originated in t...

Req: Tips for improving NAT performance on CCR1036

Hi folks. I have a question regarding the performance on a CCR with **lots** of firewall rules. I have 8000 clients behind the CCR and decided to make 'nat preallocation', having a set of customers sharing the same public IP address, but limiting the range of ports used for the src-nat. All the port...

Re: Max PPPoE concurrent sessions in a CCR?

Response: don't know. I'm just looking for some field experience. If the limitation resides on the OS, the 900 client limit will remain in any hardware. My questions are: Anyone is using this product as PPPoE server for 1000+ PPPoE clients? What is the limit of clients without degradation of service...

Max PPPoE concurrent sessions in a CCR?

Hi there. We are looking some data about using a CCR as a PPPoE server. Our company currently has 10000 customers distributed in multiple servers with x86 ROS v5.x When any server raises the connected count above 900 clients the service begins to degrade with high delay and loss of throughput, even ...

Ideas needed: Creation of a firewall cluster

Hi folks. I'm working in a active/pasive fault tolerant firewall with RouterOS and 2 brand new PowerRouter 732. In my current network configuration I have 2 gigabit ethernet link from each PowerRouter to each of the 3 switches with 802.3ad and VLAN subinterfaces. EtherX} 802.3ad bonding} VLANa, VLAN...

Re: Possible bug in bonding v3.30?

I'll try it.

Anyway, I can live without adding a comment to a bonding.
The post was entirely made to warn about the bug so it can be fixed in future releases.

Thanks for your feedback.

Possible bug in bonding v3.30?

Hi folks. I'm creating some practice labs with my mkt 433AH and a cisco switch (c2950). In this lab I was enabling 802.3ad between this devices connected like this: [MKT] [2950] Ether1 ------- f0/4 Ether2 ------- f0/5 The 433 was provisioned with a "system reset-config" before this test. [...
