Re: VRRP + MLAG

@Guscht thanks for the reply. I had used 100G Dell switches in another situation and even they use MLAG so I don't see a problem. Nonetheless, as you see from the thread, @sindy already proposed a better and simpler solution, which is what we are going to follow. It is true that MT doesn't implement...

Re: VRRP + MLAG

Just a terminological remark, the abbrevaiation NIC is typically used for a single Ethernet interface even if it is physically located on a multi-port plug-in card. Sorry, pardon the language :D What I am saying is what I am saying. I can't agree or disagree with your comparison to Hyper-V because ...

Re: VRRP + MLAG

Hello @sindy, thanks for the reply. traffic between two IP addresses in the same subnet does not need to go up to the routers because, scrictly speaking, it is not routed. The behavior is the same as if there was a single switch, the Ethernet frames carrying those IP packets are L2-forwarded/bridged...

Hello guys! I have a particular scenario that I'm working on which I got stuck while reading the documentation: Screenshot 2023-11-10 at 3.17.50 PM.png The applications are running inside a VMWare cluster of 4 machines. Each machine has 2x Mellanox ConnectX-4 Dual port NICs. Each NIC, is supposed to...

Re: L3 Switch disable Ethernet port

yes is a suggestion to separate ether-Management from bridge to see if that improve the situation
I've removed it from the bridge. There is no physical link still (no blinking lights when connecting the cable). That is the same behavior as if it were in the bridge :/

Any suggestion?

I have the same issue. I'm using 7.3.1 (latest stable as of now) and I had the management port with no link after enabled the HW offload. My bridge has 8 VLANs as well. I've disabled the HW offload, rebooted the router, but still, no link on the management port (eth1). I'm using a CCR2216-1G-12XS-2X...

After mikrtoik support reply i can tell that MLAG on v7.1 is working The problem was the missing TAG on the PEER port exchange VLAN (in my case the qfsplus1) On VLAN 3000 the peer port must also be tagged, unfortunately it was missing on the config so when the exchange had to take place between two...

Hi,

Samsung 860 EVO SATA in the product video. Samsung 980 PRO is NVMe.
OMG! How did I missed that?!?! I only saw the Samsung and M.2 part and haven't noted that difference.

Thanks A LOT for that. I'm sourcing 2 860 EVO SATA now. Will try again tomorrow and report back.

Thank you!

I've successfully made it work with BGP finally but the problem remain the same... Asymmetric routing with the two tunnels.
