Sure.
ROS allows you to do plenty of stuff.

You can even go completely wonky and have several SSID with VLAN and assign access based on that VLAN.
Actually, it would be IMHO the most ideal way of handling things...

Other way around as well.

It seems quite some ISP gear is being powered from ether1/WAN on AX3.
I was told that's the main reason why they made it that way.

SDWAN is software. Any ARM32 or ARM64 MT device capable of running ROS7, can be extended using zerotier. There is your SDWAN already. And you are sure you plugged the ether cable which you inserted into the power injector, in ether1 on the other side ? That's the only port accepting POE IN for that device.

Testing internal BTEST between RB5009 and AX3, I can completely fill that 2.5Gb line between both devices. Plenty of power to spare on both ends.
Internal test towards loopback port, it gets to almost 10Gb (9.6, if I recall correctly)...

Re: WiFiWave2 CAPsMAN Problems

Yes.
Since that device is acting as capsman manager AND it's controlling it's own wifi interfaces, it all falls under the same ROS instance (the one from the controller).
So everything related to fast roaming etc., will simply work (for radios within the same SSIDs).

Reinis gave you to config code to change it.

I think the underlying problem here is that you need to change config to allow higher power output. Default it's at 76W on psu1. That's what I understand from all previous info. Re: CRS106-1C-5S PoE-IN working ?

Read the specs. Both devices use different POE schemes.

CRS106 PoE In = passive POE 11-30V
CRS310: PoE in = 802.3 af/at 18-57 V

What works for one, may not work for the other depending on the power source you give them.
E.g. typically 802.3 POE is 48V or about. CRS106 does not accept that voltage.
