Re: v6.49.1 [stable] is released!

Hi, everyone. mkamenjak, the issue with upgrades from old RouterOS/RouterBOOT versions has been fixed in this release. Also, the problem in the 6.49/6.48.5 versions did not appear due to the RouterBOOT upgrade, it simply started after the second reboot. East2, I did not manage to create a reboot lo...

Re: v6.49.1 [stable] is released!

You have really readed something? *) system - improved system stability if device is upgraded from RouterOS and/or RouterBOOT v6.41.4 or older; The question is if all possible cases are covered or not, securely not. That does not seem like that issue at all. We are arguing semantics now but when th...

Re: v6.49.1 [stable] is released!

It is worrisome that it sounds like 6.49.1 has not fixed all of the upgrade issues where devices go into boot loops. Perhaps there were two causes of this and MikroTik has fixed only one. Reading the hangelog and it seems to me they did not fix this bug at all. I am seriously disappointed that Mikr...

Will MIPSBE devices continue to randomly die on routerboot upgrade with this release?
Have CCR long boot issues been fixed?

@normis
Is mikrotik aware of the boot problems affecting the RB2011 after a firmware upgrade to either 6.49 or 6.48.5?

This only applies to a device with no password at all. In the light of recent attacks against MikroTik devises, why not simply set any kind of password? It will stop asking
Oh, ok, that is fine.

Re: 200k Mikrotik devices involved in DDoS botnet

what are the signs that the device is infected?
for example: the presence of extraneous scripts, the presence of a new user who was recently created or something else?
Check for scripts, schedulers, and if IP socks was used.

Re: 200k Mikrotik devices involved in DDoS botnet

Perhaps future routeros versions should separate socks into a separate package. I mean in my thousands of mikrotiks that I have logged in into, the only time I have seen it being used was on routers that were previously hacked.

Re: When is 6.49 going to be released?

Sorry, backup is broken in 6.49beta. THAT IS A BIG THING!!! v7 Is for me a thing I can't try without BIG risks because I can't go back v6 without having to take a troublesome road of manually restoring the export. I did not mean that they should just switch the current beta build to stable. Ofc. th...

Re: When is 6.49 going to be released?

The only sensible reason for releasing 6.49 would be to make it kind of transitional package to upgrade to 7.1. Which likely means including some updated routerboot firmware (so that v7.1 successfully boots) or some configuration sanitizing. Otherwise I don't see any point in doing it. For security...

Never mind v7.
6.49 has been in the oven now for what, over half a year?

Re: Feedback on RouterOSv7 route filtering

What are your suggestions on how to represent it in winbox? Simply "make it like v6" is not possible because of new features. It does not need to be identical to how it was in v6. But it should be similar. No hand typing of entire statements. The matching part of the statement should be o...

Re: Feedback on RouterOSv7 route filtering

Just a note instead of matching chains you could use address lists, then it will translate easily from cisco or free range config with prefix-list /ipv6/firewall/address-list add list=dead.beef.101 address=200:dead:beef:101::/64 /routing/filter/rule add chain=bgp-out-v6 rule="if (dst in dead.b...

Re: v7.1rc1 [development] is released!

Is v7.1rc1 also known as "beta 7"? https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/v7+Routing+Protocol+Status No, seems rc1 to be a step forward because Winbox seems now supporting routing/filter! in 7.1beta7 it was not supported. regards Ros I can't confirm this. I have tried routing filters ...

Re: v7.1rc1 [development] is released!

Will routing filters ever get a traditional winbox gui, or are we stuck with manually writing "if ( [matchers] ) { [actions] } else { [actions] }" rules?
Seconding this.
Mikrotik please give us a Winbox routing filters experience similar to what it was in v6.

Feature request: The Dude v7 with x64 client

I would need the dude on routeros V7 with a 64 bit client. The reason for the 64bit client is that some of my colleagues are forced to use MacOS(It is not their fault).
Alternatively I need a 64bit client for the dude on v6.

Or why not, a mac os native client for the Dude.
