Ditto

We also tried beta 3.04 and found the same thing. Network traffic goes up by a factor of 5-10 times. Downgraded back to v2.2 immediately.

Thanks!

Thank you very much sir. This issue has come up in various posts and Mikrotik has been unable to say what was the cause or able to suggest a fix up to now.

5.8 and snow

When I told some people here in SA that I lose 20 db in during heavy snowfall on a 10km link, they lauged at me and said snow does not affect 5.8 at all. Well, what can I say? I was using 20 db panels both ends, even switching to 27 dBi grid on one end still did not help much.

Sergejs and jo2jo As far as I know, there is no rebooting issue with Wrap boards and the new seano cards, hence jo2jo never had problems with them before. There is still rebooting issues with Routerboards and the Senao cards, even using latest version MT and default settings! In my opinion the older...

Re: nstreme

I'll give that a try. Thanks! By the way do you use WDS in your PTMP configuration?
No, we don't use wds, increases load and decreases throughput.

disable nstreme

rpingar,

Try to disable the nstreme in the point to multipoint environment, too much overhead and the RB532 can't handle the load, especially the 5.8 ghz band

nstreme

jd6strings

Try turning off the nstreme on the AP and the clients, We have found this to overload the RB532 too much and cause high pings and all sorts of other troubles in a point to multipoint configuration.

Hope it helps you.

I definitely have had this problem too. Where I had an omni with clear 360 degree LOS and an atheros based card, this seemed to happen, only matter of time. I replace all these cards with the prism one's, and voila, no problems again. Then the other scenario where I have an omni against a pole, thus...

Ack flood problem?

Hi guys and girls Before bothering MT support, I thought I'd run my problem by you guys to see if someone else had the same thing happen to them and maybe could suggest measures to prevent it. I have MT RB532 running 2.9.12 with 2 SR2's as AP 's in a bridge configuration, one a 15dbi omni antenna, t...

pppoe settings

set the pppoe server mtu's at 1450, set the d-link router "to always on", the d-link client will follow the mt pppoe server mtu settings, we have found 1450 to be most stable and even use them for our backhaul links with very good performance. PPPOE makes it simple in that when you want to change yo...

Thank you for this info, Goldclick.

This puts my fears to rest. I did not have to many space or capacity for too much batteries and solar cells. That low amp usage will ensure that I'll have more than enough reserves in my batteries to remain in the 20% discharge levels for many years usage.
