Also have S-RJ01 and RB5009, it's even my WAN link so I would know pretty soon if something goes wrong there. How do you define brief itf down periods ? How does that happen? I have it hooked to a laptop I use for work so at night it goes to sleep and when I come back the next day the connection wi...
anyone else have an issue with s-rj01 SFPs and auto flow control being on causing no link to be established after a brief iface down period? (on an rb5009)
Bug report: * Latest beta 5, I just noticed on the RB5009 ethernet interfaces the FP Tx and FP Tx Packet rate counters are always 0. Interesting .... I see it only on the FP TX Packet rate counters. RX moves. Best to report to support@mikrotik.com. Interesting, mine only seems to happen on TX on 2....
Anyone else have an issue with v6 PD on this version? Mine (at night, I suspect it has thing to do with DHCPv6 renewals) will occasionally not get a PD anymore for some amount of time (up to 12 hours) even post reboot. I talked with my ISP and they couldnt find anything, I then downgraded and it see...
I mean if their modifications arent in the form of kernel patches, they are completely doing it wrong. We have been kernel patching on openWRT for decades (across multiple architectures), VERY successfully. I suspect its drivers and lack of a super solid regression test suite holding it back. My und...
Running a pihole and hitting dns issues, not sure this is isolated to just dns hosted on the mikrotik. Same thing if I spam resolutions, it will eventually succeed. Update: no seems to be isolated to mikrotik. Found out pihole was falling back to querying mikrotik due to an amiss DHCP option :( On t...
So, I'm trying to use Cake on my WAN interface but fail: > queue/interface/set pppoe-out1 queue=cake-512k failure: non rate limit queues are useless on this interface What's the right way to do that? It would only let me use it on a PHY. Not soft interfaces, not even LTE (back when my LTE still wor...
You should put cake as interface queue, instead of creating simple queues for it.
Only true if you triple isolate and don't really want to ack filter, etc. Cake config is really geared toward being different between upstream and downstream.
