Adjust priority per host

Hi, I have a RBSXTR with a LTE interface. The LTE interface is my internet interface and I am natting my traffic from a bridge (ether1 only) to the internet. All is working well. I would like to prioritise a few host's traffic over other hosts. I don't mind if the link is full with the none-priority...

Re: ax series lineup WiFi issues

I will able to confirm or refute it tomorrow, but looks like access list is causing wifi driver to fail with "key handshake timeout". Will report.
I have no access lists and it's broken

What is the best version to run - the Beta or the Alpha ?

The Beta appears to contain some of the fixes ?

Hi All, MacOS 13.4 was used ROS 7.10rc1 Hardware used: hAP AX3 - CAPsMAN cAP AX - cAPGi-5HaxD2HaxD Do *NOT* try and configure any of the remote interfaces using the radio menu - this will break things. Use this for the local interfaces only and use the provision under "Remote CAP" for anyt...

Single Queue for multiple addresses in Kid Control

Hi, I have IPv6 and it's assigning a bunch of addresses (over time) to the same device (SLAAC iirc...) Can I adjust kid control to use the same queue for all the addresses ? This would also be handy to limit a group of devices to a single queue (yes, IPv4 can go static but that is not what I want) T...

Re: Load Balancing across MLAG

I don't understand how LACP24's state effects LACP23 ? You’re correct in that there is no direct relationship between the two on the Mikrotiks. In fact, unless you have more than one MLAG member on a given chassis, it doesn’t even apply any LACP load-sharing algorithm at all. This is paradoxically ...

Re: Load Balancing across MLAG

Gotcha. You get all of your LACP load-sharing properties back by just adding another link to the currently orphaned MLAG 24. It’s just a LAG from the perspective of “Host 2” (which happens to be an HP switch which then has yet another standard LAG to your server). Is there a reason you can’t do tha...

Re: Load Balancing across MLAG

The orphaned LACP is "lacp24" the one I want load balanced is "lacp23" - they are 2 different LACPs. Putting the question differently - if I have traffic come in on a single port, how do I get it to load balance across a MLAG ? Pardon the hasty tablet sketch … this type of thing...

Re: Load Balancing across MLAG

If this limitation is only a result of the parts you have for testing in the lab, that’s one thing, but I cannot recommend enough that anything that needs to connect to an MLAG in your final design should have at least one link to each chassis under normal operation. Kinda, in production these will...

Re: Load Balancing across MLAG

I suspected something like this, except that some other vendors that support MLAG does this (Juniper and HP, not sure about the rest) - would be nice IMHO Interesting … do you have a reference to the Juniper docs for the knob that enables this? I haven’t had to configure it on Juniper and am curiou...

Re: Load Balancing across MLAG

If I understand the question correctly you would like traffic coming from an orphan port (port connected to only one chassis) to be load balanced to both a local member of an MLAG and a remote member of the same MLAG. I have never seen any vendor support this. Cisco’s VSS (iOS/iOS-XR) and vPC (NXOS...

Re: Load Balancing across MLAG

AFAIK, the ICCP makes the Peer-Link insanely expensive. Thus no Load-Balancing will occur. Any Frame arriving at the Switch will directly leave it via the MLAG-Member. It is extremely undesirable to re-route it through the Peer-Link. I suspected something like this, except that some other vendors t...

Load Balancing across MLAG

Hi, I have 2xCRS326-24S+2Q+ running ROSv7.2.1. I have MLAG running over the 2x40gig ports (in a LACP) and then I have a LACP to a server over port 23 on both switches and another LACP to a HP switch over port 24 (this is only a single link atm since I have limited 10gig in the lab). Connected to the...

Re: Adding IP address to interface on VRRP Master/Backup

Very creative. I love VRRP, one of the most useful features. Normally we use it on the LAN side. And I'd thought you'd be limited on WAN with a /29 or better public IPs. You got me thinking if your approach work to use for VRRP more typically case of a single IP/single MAC from an ISP. But does the...

Re: Adding IP address to interface on VRRP Master/Backup

Need to figure out a GARP from that address - tomorrow's worries :) But you normally just add the SAME VRRP address on both routers to the VRRP interface itself, use /32 as you do now, done. Maybe you have a more complex setup, but you shouldn't need a script for VRRP address assignment. Maybe you ...

Adding IP address to interface on VRRP Master/Backup

Hi, I have an interface called vlan_test with no IP address configured. I would like to add an IP address to this interface on VRRP becoming master and remove it when it becomes backup. I have the following script: :log info "Master"; :if ([/interface vrrp get vrrp_master master] = true) d...
