So when your AP arrive I think it would be the best to write here what are you trying to achieve.

So how many SSIDs, VLANs etc and then we start from that.

Re: hAP ax² 3 Vlans at internal Atenna

Is your ax2 only AP in your network ? If yes then why are you using CAPsMAN ?

Local radio interfaces are managed locally, not via capsman, so radios on your ax2 are not configured by CAPsMAN, assuming ax2 is your CAPsMAN controller.

Second, you untagged all VLANs for all wireless interfaces. Why ?

I wouldn't power routers with low voltage such as 12V. I would always choose higher voltage, 24V for eg. in this case.

Look for an isolated converter if possible.

Re: hEX PoE (RB960PGS)

PoE in on hEX PoE is passive so while it's possible to power it by RB5009 which is active PoE you will most likely need to force PoE on on the desired port on the RB5009. Reason is that active PoE uses negotiation with client that requests PoE to be turned on. And passive PoE just sends and receives...

I replaced them with CRS310-8G+2S+IN because i wanted all devices to run ROS and because of the 2.5G ports.

Right now I have 11 wireguard connections between RB4011 and wAP LTE and don't have any problems. There is no much traffic at all, it's for management only and to access device on the other side if needed so i can't tell how it will work with some real traffic. So, if you plan to use ax2 or 3 as a router instead of your existing ISP router then you should consider what is max speed you want to have. AX3 is more futureproof but AX2 have great WAF factor. Nothing will happen, RB3011 will not see compatible device and will not output power to it. Be careful not to have PoE forced on, then it will output 24V all the time.

Also, to be extra safe you can disable PoE on port 10.

You can't update because your CRS didn't recieve IP address from upstream router and have no route to the internet. Use for eg VLAN 5 as trusted VLAN. It's good and affordable replacement but it would be a good choice to invest in something more powerful. Internet speeds are increasing and while L009 is a good replacement, OP here have 300/150 internet connection and L009 can route at 323.6 Mbps so no much room for faster internet.

My advice, replace the router.

87% is a lot, that's probably your bottleneck. If you don't need wireless on your router then look at RB5009. It's more expensive but you will be safe for a long time.

RB2011 is pretty old device, and according to the Mikrotik website it's capable of only 244 Mbps routing when you have about 25 firewall rules. As stated above, what is CPU load when doing speedtest ?

Maybe you can consider upgrading it to L009 ?

Are you planning to use wired ports on your devices or you just want wireless ? In that case you really don't need to complicate your life with VLANs on switch chip. You just do it like usual and in that case no configuration has to be done on CAP, only on CAPsMAN controller itself.

Also good to mention is: - Disable all network cards except the one you are using to connect to your router. - Run netinstall as administrator - If you have any special characters in your user name, for eg. š,č,ć then I would suggest you to select path for your files that doesn't contain special cha...

Re: v7.13.4 [stable] is released!

Hello all. I don't know how it is with you, but I have a problem with version 7.13.4. DNS works much slower, there is buffering on Telemach-EON tv, netflix has delay by 2-3 sec to load content, web pages load slower, i downgrade to 7.13.3 and now is all works ok. Hey there, I'm running same IPTV as...

CRS310 works like a charm, port security from example on mikrotik wiki works like it should but i'm wondering, why there is no lock on first option ? Also i tried to understand what each step in Router OS wiki does as i don't want to blindly copy/paste cmd lines. So this command tells the switch tha...

It's working now like it should but i must say, performance is horrendous... That poor thing can achieve 500 Mbps max with 5 filter rules. Also I created trunk for my CRS310 and I have to add rules for it to work so now it looks like this: 0 chain=forward action=accept src-mac-address=70:85:C2:9F:A7...

Re: Bridge filter rules not working

I assumed that it will work as ip firewall... I was looking at mikrotik wiki and there is no mention of that unfortunately. Will do like that tomorrow. Is it a good idea to put that unconditional rule at the end ? I mean it's more efficient to accept what we want to pass and drop all else. Or is it ...

Re: Switch with two SFP port [SOLVED]

Not so sure, both of them have only 16MB of storage so you could run into same issue you ran into with hex lite.

Maybe ROS 7.12 could be installed. I have one hex lite with 7.1.3 and i was unable to upgrade it to 7.13.3

Same thing, not enough disk space. Maybe netinstalling is better solution here.
