Re: WireGuard Subnets

@anav, Sorry, maybe my comment wasn't so clear. I did use the /export previously to share my config. I too am using Notepad++. Can I make the changes in the config file that you recommended in your first post in Notepad++ and then upload that file in WinBox via the "Files" section and use ...

Re: WireGuard Subnets

@anav, Thank you for the response. I am trying to learn about this more. Can I modify the exported config file in a text editor, upload the file in Winbox and run "restore" with the new file? Don't want to mess anything up. Looking at my config file your comment, "remove bridge filter...

WireGuard Subnets

I am quite new to MT products. I have a HAP AX3 (only a few weeks, replaced pfSense VM to isolate Network from Server) and am using stock config (QuickSET). I also have a CRS326 in SWOS for now. I have success with WireGuard App on a Windows Client PC connecting from outside connection (via DuckDNS)...

Re: IP Cloud vs DuckDNS

All,

Thanks for the feedback. I will try and give IP Cloud a try then, seems quite simple and learn something new.

Thank you,

IP Cloud vs DuckDNS

New HAP AX3 owner and I am trying to learn the MT features and interface. In my previous setup I was using DuckDNS via pfSense VM. Today I am learning about IP Cloud via MT and that I can have SN###.Domain.com instead. Is there any reason to use one over the other? I saw there is a Script on GitHub ...

Re: WireGuard access to LAN resources [SOLVED]

Adding to this topic as I believe I am having the same issue. I am quite new to MT products. I have a HAP AX3 (only a few weeks, replaced pfSense VM to isolate Network from Server) and am using stock config (QuickSET). I also have a CRS326 in SWOS for a few years now, but clearly am not using it to ...

Re: Default Firewall Rules for CRS326

@mkx, Again thank you for the additional information yet again. As cool as the RB5009 sounds, I think I need to realize that I don't really know much about this more advanced networking. Don't get me wrong, I think it is very cool, but I am only self taught on things I have found need/application fo...

Re: Default Firewall Rules for CRS326

@mkx, Thank you for the additional reply. I was searching and reading around on the forums and came across the same type of input as your suggestion. It seems like using one of the hAP devices sounds like a good solution. Low power and quite affordable (I'm in the US and can buy easy from Amazon). I...

Re: Default Firewall Rules for CRS326

@mkx, Thank you for the reply. I am surprised to hear this, clearly I am a noob when it comes to networking. I was hoping to remove my virtualized pfsense firewall from my server and use a stand-alone firewall . I was hoping to do this without the need to buy yet another piece of hardware and increa...

Default Firewall Rules for CRS326

New to RouterOS. I have been running a CRS326 in SWOS for the last 2-3yrs now with PfSense (virtualized on ProxMox). I have decided to move away from this so I can do whatever I want with the physical server and not interrupt internet service to the rest of the house. I have been able to read & ...

Re: Suddenly unable to connect to Switch [SOLVED]

All, Thank you for the additional information. All seems to be working now. All I did was change the IP (both in RouterOS and SwOS) and it has been up and running all week. Thank you for the support. I'm hoping to learn VLANS next so I can segment out my network and control devices in groups (IE Tur...

Re: Suddenly unable to connect to Switch [SOLVED]

@bpwl, Thank you for the reply and providing additional information about this product. I am running SwOS v2.13. Currently I have address as "static" so it should not be looking for anything from DHCP Server (Pfsense Router). Nothing is connected to the switch but 1 FTP+ and 1 port back to...

Re: Suddenly unable to connect to Switch [SOLVED]

Hi All, New to MikroTik products. Just got a CRS326. Don't know how to use most of it. I booted the CRS326 to SwOS as I'm only looking to add a managed switch for VLAN support. Background Info: I am running a stock PFSense gateway (virtual via Proxmox) with no tweaks. Only change is DNS is forwarded...
